Happy Independence Day

Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion
Hello my crafty friends~
Happy Friday~ So, do you have a lot planned for the 4th? We are staying pretty close to home awaiting the birth of our newest Grand baby which is due next week. We are also planning on going to the local parade, festivities and fireworks. How about you?

Today I am sharing another fun 4th of July treat favors for my daughter to take to work for her co-workers. I just grabbed some pretzels rods, dipped them in Wilton's candy melts and sprinkle candies on top. After they set up, I put them in a pretzel rod bag and created a fun tag to attach
to them :)
They are super easy to make and everyone loves them! Yum!
I kept the tags rather simple as they are going to just throw it away anyway~ I started with making a tag using the Art Philosophy cartridge. I cut it at 3 1/2 and stamped the fireworks background with Pretty Cute Stamps~Fireworks stamp set in red and blue.
I then stamped the sentiment which is also from this stamp set in black for a little dimension. I finished with a little gem in the center of one of the fireworks and tied them on with Berry Trendy Twine and tied a bow~Viola..done!
Have a WONDERFUL and SAFE weekend!!!!

Celebrate Freedom

Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion
Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday!
Can you believe it's almost July 1st? Eeek, I can't believe how fast the year is going?!
Today I have a fun little treat favor to share with you:) With the 4th of July right around the corner, I made these yummy sucker pops for Arya's daycare friends.
I started with a double stuffed Oreo cookies. I dipped a sucker stick in Wilton candy melts and stuck it in the center for the Oreo cookies. I let it sit for about 5 minutes just for the stick to set. I then went back and dipped the whole cookie and laid it on wax paper, added sprinkles and let it set.
I packaged them up in a little cello bag and tied on a tag.  The cute little tag is created using the SU oval punch and the sentiment is Craftin Desert Diva's~Celebrate Freedom stamp set.
Super easy and I am sure they it will be a hit with the little ones :) I mean who doesn't like Oreo cookies....yum!

Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion
Hello Everyone and Happy Friday!
I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you~
Today I am sharing my first DT project for the PDE Linky Challenge...yippee!!! I am super excited to be a member of the PDE Design Team~I am looking forward to creating with these amazing and talented ladies :)
This week's Linky Party theme is:
"Anything Goes".
I have chosen to make a shaker birthday card for my project for today~I am working on building up my stash of cards since I am super low:)  I used some fun pattern papers from My Minds Eye~Lost and Found Rosy Collection that I won over at my friend, Diana's blog~
Thanks so much Diana~I love it!
I started with white card stock for the base of my card.  The sentiment is stamped onto the base layer with My Creative Time's~Chalkboard Birthday stamp set. I used My Creative Time's~Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies for the next layer and framing in the sentiment for creating the shaker part of the card. I filled the window with sequins from my stash and layered that top panel in place.
. The cupcake is created using My Creative Time's ~Light the Candles stamp/die set. I used Ranger fruit punch stickles on the frosting and glossy accents on the candle. I finished it up with a pretty bow using ribbon from SU.

Enjoy the Journey

Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion
Hello Everyone and Happy Wednesday!
I found a little time to sneak away in my craft room to make a graduation card that I need for this weekend. I decided to make it a shaker card so I could use some fun new sequins that I picked up over at Craftin Desert Diva's.
The pattern papers are from DoodleBug Designs~The Graduates collection.  The sentiment is stamped with My Creative Time's~Life is Grand stamp set and the tiny black stars are from the Nesting Dies Starburst die set.  I also used My Creative Time's~Scalloped Stitched Oval Die set for the window and to frame in the sentiment.
The fun little grad peanut is PK-1402 Little Peanut stamp set and colored with copics. I added some rosy cheeks, freckles and glossy accents to the eyes for a fun look. I used coordinating paper for the cap and cute little tie. I finished it up with a bow using blueberry crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM and a star to the center.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) 3 Girl JAM Challenge~June Anything Goes w/ribbon
2.) DL.ART June Linky~Anything Goes
3.) Cut it Up Challenge #73 Stars and Stripes
