I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! It was a busy week and "thank you" to some of my blogger buddies who found out it was my birthday on Thursday and sent birthday wishes my way:). It is amazing how fast news spreads..hehe! I was trying to be hush but my daughter mentioned something on FB and wow......that was it, lol! Oh well, it was an awesome day!!
Today is my design team day over at Go Fish Challenge Blog and the challenge this week is: ANYTHING GOES!!
I made a fun birthday card using Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Rectangles Large die for the base of the card. I got the idea from my friend, Lisa at A Mermaids Craft and thought it would be fun to give it a try. I distressed the edges of the frame layer using Tim Holtz-peeled paint for a little pop.
I added a frame/tag which was cut from Art Philosophy cartridge at 1 1/4 along with the matching sentiment that goes with that cut which is from Close to my Heart called Frames, Tags, Borders set. I love that about this cartridge! I cut the pretty butterfly using the layering butterfly punch from EK. I added a fun polka dot sheered ribbon for a the bow to finish up. The stamp on the inside that I used is from SU ~You are loved set. I hope you like it:)
I hope you come join us in the challenge and be sure to check out what the amazing DT members have created for you!
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Die Cuttin Divas ~Challenge #60 Pastels
2.) My Craft Spot ~Challenge #51 Inside & Out
Thanks for stopping,Sherrie K
