Happy Halloween

Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion
Hello Everyone and Happy Friday!
I have been "trying" to get back into some crafting again..it's been way to long!!!! Beside my DT commitments, I have not had the time to get in my craft room for much more as you can tell.  It has been busy this past summer with 2 new grand babies in our family....I am loving the snuggles! This makes 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson...feeling very blessed!!!

For those of you who follow me, also know my father had a major stroke back in April which took his eye sight along with some memory loss. I have spent a lot of time traveling back and forth home (240 mi RT) a few times a week to help comfort/support him through this tough time. After leaving the stroke recovery center a few months ago, he is now in the long term nursing home center in his home town where most of my family lives which has made it a bit easier. It has been overwhelming to say the least but I think things are starting to ease up some~thanks for all the prayers, comments, emails and cards. I am touched by your kindness and forever grateful for your friendship!!!

I was excited to get some time in my kitchen and my craft room the past few days, lol. I have a fun, yummy treats to share today...perfect for Halloween, don't you think? Wow, can you believe it's almost Halloween...are you ready?
I started with making rice krispie bars. I then let them set up, cut into squares and poked in the sticks. For decorating these monsters...I used Wilton candy melts, candy sprinkles, edible candy eyes and black frosting, all from Michael's craft store.
I put them in cello bags and added a cute tag created with Jaded Blossoms Mini Tag Dies and the Halloween Treats stamp set. The cute twine bow is tied with  Trendy Twines Spiced Pumpkin.
 Fun ha?
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #340 Halloween
2.) DL.ART October Linky Challenge-Anything Goes
3.) PDE Challenge #196 Anything Goes
4.) Cardz TV Challenge # 18 Anything Goes
Have a great weekend~

I can't believe you have snow already. That made me sad!! I'm so not ready for winter. We are supposed to get down to 32 tonight and our highs are barely out of the 50's. Sigh. I guess I have to prepare myself for the frigid temps. I hope you are getting lots of sweet snuggles from the grandbabies!! And your dad is in my daily prayers. I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing weekend, dear friend!! Thinking of you and sending lots of big hugs :)

I'm happy to hear your Dad is closer to home... At least the family can visit him more frequently without such long traveling times - I am a bit concern for you of course due to the fact you got snow coming down! I saw it online tonight.. YIKES! Try and stay safe & warm if you can... I hope you have a wonderful weekend! HUGS! :)
