Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
Yeah, it's Friday! Looking forward to a longer weekend. Any plan's for the New Year? We are going to have a quiet evening...I think! I don't know when the last time we stayed home on New Years Eve was but I think we are going to enjoy the evening with our Granddaughter, Arya. We can't wait!
Today I have another Thank You card to share with you. My card base is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 and the base layer is 5 x 5. I used paper from a 6 x 6 paper pack by Authentique-collection called-wonder. I love it! So many pretty papers:)
The cage and bird are from a Bigz die from Tim Holtz~called Caged bird. I just love this die and know I will be using this again in the near future. I used the coordinating papers from the pack for the bird to. I added a cute little row of heart beads from Close to My Heart-Dress it Up and used craft wire to tie them on to the cage. Thought it would dress that cage up a bit-what do you think?
I distressed the edges of all the paper and cuts with SU Sahara Sand except for the red mat. I cut the red mat from Lacy Labels at 4 3/4 and embossed it with the snowflake folder, then lightly sanded it. I distressed it with a touch of SU craft white to give it a little pop. I added a pretty lacy border using the Martha Stewart's border punch and tied on some fun fibers. The little tag is the curly label die from My Creative Time and the sentiment is from SU-With all my Heart.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Paper Cutz ~Challenge #119~ card, layout or project using hearts.
2.) DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge-Thank you card, any color, any reason.
Thanks for visiting!

Thanks!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Happy Thursday!!! It's hard to believe we are almost at the end of the year. Wow, the years fly by fast! I have a quick Christmas thank you card to share with you. I needed to make a simple card so I could mass produce these since I needed quite a few thank yous to send out for the Christmas gifts I received.
This is a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card. I cut the green mat at 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 and the white mat at 3 x 4 1/4 which was embossed with the snowflake folder by Darice.
I used core'dinations paper for the tree and used an embossing folder-Christmas tree by Darice and trimmed around it and layered it on my card. I sanded it lightly and added some pretty red bling to the tree and used Viva~yellow pearl pen for the star. I also added bow using SU grosgrain striped ribbon-real red. I also added a cute little Santa brad that I had in my stash and the sentiment is from TPC Studio-Greetings. I just realized this card was cricut-less....Wow, it's been a long time since I made a card without firing up my cricut. That seems strange!
I am going to enter this in a challenge at Docerela Creations ~Challenge #4~Holiday Thank You.
There is some time left to come join in. Come on...check it out:)

Santa's Little Helper!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
I have a quick post this evening to wish you and your families all a very Merry Christmas!!! My children will all be home tomorrow for Christmas which I am so excited for. We have decided as a family to spend Christmas Day at our home instead of traveling to my parents and in-laws which are a few hours away. I think this will be our 4th or 5th Christmas actually at home in 20 some years so really looking forward to staying in my pj's, sipping on hot chocolate and listening the Christmas music and of course..enjoying our new baby Granddaughter, Arya. I will post a picture tomorrow of our sweet little Princess..so be sure to stop back!
I also have a quick Christmas card that I made last week and forgot to share with you. I cut this adorable little reindeer from the Create A Critter cartridge at 4". I cut a small mat behind the reindeer and embossed it to give it a little pop.
I added this super fun ribbon from 3 Girl JAM. The cute stitched circle and scallop circle along with the sentiment all come from My Creative Time. Thanks for stopping and again Merry Christmas!!

Christmas tags....
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
I have a couple last minute tags to share with you that I made for some of my Christmas packages. I made them all using the Art Philosophy Cartridge. All the tags are all cut at 4 1/2.
The tree is cut at 3" plus the layers. I added stickles on the tree, a few little gems and ribbon/twine to finish it up. The sentiment is from My Creative Time-All Around Christmas.
The stocking is cut at 2 3/4 plus the layers. I have embossed part of the stocking with the divine swirls folder and the other pieces with the polka dots folder. Added some yummy twine and little pom poms to dress it up. Tied it off with ribbon and twine.
The present is cut at 2 3/4 plus the layers. I embossed the present with the divine swirls folder and the spots and dots folder. I topped the present off with a small bow, added some bling and again added the sentiment. I tied it off with ribbon and twine.
The ornament is cut at 3" plus the layers. I embossed the tag using the snowflake folder and sanded it just a bit to pop. I added a little bow and some gems, again to dress it up along with sentiment and tied it off with ribbon and twine.
I am entering this in a challenge over at My Craft Spot #38-tags.
Thanks for stopping, be back tomorrow!

FCCB Challenge #91~Trimming With a Tag
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
Happy Monday all!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I did a lot of shopping, wrapping and then out of town for a Christmas gathering on Sunday for my side of the family! It was a wonderful time but boy did the weekend fly by!
Yeah, it's Monday...that means another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday! This weeks challenge is~to use a tag somewhere on our project. Fantabulous Cricut is being sponsored by Core'dinations, Yeah !! I love this cardstock! Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock has a core color which “core’dinates” with the surface color. Each sheet has a tab underneath labeled “core color” that represents the interior color of the sheet. You can choose to keep that color hidden or add your own creative touch by sanding, tearing or embossing.
For my project I have tried to show the "core" of the cardstock by embossing and sanding on my card. I absolutely love the effect. It gives it a lot of dimension and character. Hope you like it:)

I made this 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 card using this wonderful Core'dinations paper. I cut the mat at 5" from the Elegant Edges cartridge and then embossed it with the polka dots folder. I then sanded it to give it some dimension. The tree's are cut at 3 1/2 from the Winter Woodland cartridge, embossed with the divine swirls folder and sanded. I just love the effect as it pops the other color through as you sand it. I added a cute sentiment from My Craft Spot~Winter Wonderland set along with a yummy satin bow. The little snowflakes are cut at 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 ~also embossed, sanded and attached to the bow.
I hope you come join us for this fun challenge and be sure to check out the rest of the DT and their wonderful projects!
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Frosted Designs ~Fabulous Friday~to use ribbon
2.) Little Scrap Pieces ~Winter Holiday
Be sure to stop back tomorrow as I will be posting my winner for the 3 Girl JAM ribbon and the Winter Frolic cartridge:)

FCCB Challenge #90~Rolling in Ribbon
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I am sure it was a BUSY one, ha? Crazy this time of year. I actually had a little time to squeeze in some fun over the weekend-my daughter, her fiance, my husband and I did some holiday baking. We all had so much fun together and baby Arya just sat back and checked it all out as she hung out on and off in her swing. Fun times!
Well, it's time for another Challenge Me Monday over at Fantabulous Cricut. Today, the challenge is to use ribbon somewhere on your project along with your cricut cut. I hope you come join us in this fun challenge-love to see what you create:)
I made this center step card using paper from SU and America Crafts. I won 3 adorable digi's from Cindy over at Cindy's Scraptastic Designs and this is one of them. Isn't this just the cutest? I love her work, she is so super talented and you should stop by her store and take a look at her amazing designs. You won't be disappointed!
I used my Spellbinders-scallop rectangles to frame it out. This is one of my first attempts at using copics.... I hope you like it. I know I need to practice more but I needed to start at some point, LOL! I used copic colors-Y38, YG95, BG10 and R29. I added some snow using a snow marker which I love this effect along with a touch of glitter. I cut the snowflake from the Art Philosophy cartridge at 2" then punched out the other snowflakes out of the pattern paper using a 1" circle punch. I added a touch of glitter for a shimmery look and a little gem. The sentiment is from K.Andrew Designs~ Winter Wishes set. I have used some yummy ribbon from 3 Girl JAM to finish it off~using holly berry and ice blue.
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to stop over at Fantabulous Cricut and check out what the wonderful design team has created for you!
I am also entering this in the following challenges:
1.) My Sheri Crafts challenge #75~Let it snow
2.) Whimsical Designs~ Winter Fun
3.) Frosted Designs-Fabulous Friday ~challenge~Glitter

Greetings!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
It's been a busy week trying to get my home decorated for the holidays and trying to get my Christmas cards done. My hubby has been a trooper trying to get my tree up, lights up inside and out. Setting up my decorations on the front and back deck...yikes, busy boy! Think I will keep him around, LOL!
I have a Christmas card to share with you today, I really like the way this one turned out. I love the colors and the whimsical tree's on this cartridge that I used. I hope you like it!
The base is cut from the Create A Critter cartridge at 6.88 x 11.65, base layer at 6.38 x 5.63 using my gypsy. The off white mat is from the Spellbinders-Lg rectangular die which I embossed with the cuttlebug snowflakes folder. The tree's are cut at 3" using the Art Philosophy cartridge. The sentiment "Greeting" is from K Andrew Designs ~Winter Wishes. I finished it by adding a little doodling around the edges, a pretty satin bow and 3 little snowflake embellishments. Thanks for looking!

Wishing you a heartfelt holiday!
Hi Everyone!! Hope your all having a great day!!! I would like to share a project that I made using this cute Midi Bitty Bag that I purchase over at Scrappy Moms Stamps. I cut out this jolly snowman from the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge at 4 1/4 and the layers. I embossed his body with the spots folder and added a little doodling to his scarf and hat. I cut the snowflake at 2 3/4 and inked around the edges and then added a touch of glitter to it.
I added some snow layers by tearing the paper, then embossing it with the divine swirls folder and dipping the edges in glitter. It's hard to see, but so pretty! I used My Creative Time die-Curly label along with the sentiment which is from the Mixed Holiday Sentiment set. I added a pretty border across the top of the bag by using the Martha Stewart snowflake punch, some pretty lace, silk ribbon and added a touch of some yummy Christmas twist bakers twine also from Scrappy Moms Stamps. These bags are so fun to work with and they also have Itty Bitty Bags.....go check it out, your gonna love them:)
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) My Craft Spot #36~Christmas treat and gift packaging
2.) Cindy's Scraptastic Designs #5 ~ Project with a snowman or snowflake-with a winter theme
3.) Trade Fish-Go Fish challenge #6 ~ Inspirational challenge
4.) Robin's Creative Cottage #2 Ribbon's and Bow's

FCCB Challenge #89-Present Time
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Happy Monday All!! It's time for another Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut. Today, the challenge is to make a gift, gift packaging or use a gift cut. I have chosen to make a gift package~A perfect size for a jewelry, small bath and body lotions, gift cards, etc.
I cut this cute gift box at fit to page from the Slumber Party cartridge that I won from Amy and Rhonda at Decorate to Celebrate. This pretty polka dot flower is cut at 5" from the Art Philosophy cartridge along with the leaves at 1 1/2 which I embossed with the swiss dots folder. The tag is from a SU punch and I cannot remember where the sentiment is from (did not have that written down) I added some yummy ribbon from 3 Girl JAM called cherry lipstick for the pretty bow along with some green tulle.
I also made a little 3 x 3 card to go along with the the gift bag. I cut the present from the Art Philosophy cartridge at 2 1/4 and I added a little bow using again 3 Girl JAM Ribbon. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper ~Christmas Wishes set.
Don't forget to head over to Fantabulous Cricut to see what the rest of the Design Team has created! Hope you join us in this weeks challenge...can't wait to see what you create!!

For you!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
It's finally Friday.....yeah! I have so much to do this weekend...anyone feeling a little overwhelmed? This is a crazy time of the year, that's for sure! Well, today I have a quick card that I made using the Birthday Bash cartridge for the shape of my card. I cut it at 4.37 x 5.12 and the base layer at 3.64 x 4.11 using the gypsy to weld together.
I cut the little owl out and all the layers from the Winter Frolic cartridge at 3". I embossed the owl with the divine swirls folder and added some cute little google eyes. I used stickles on the leaves and on the owls hat and arms for a little shimmery look. The oval and scallop circles are from SU and the sentiment is from Trade Fish Designs ~Got Leaves stamp set. I topped it off with a little stitching and pretty polka dot bow.
Be sure to stop by and pay Stephanie a visit at Whimsical Designs. She has her stamp release sneak peeks going on right now. There are amazing projects and a lot of inspiration. You have until midnight tonight to comment and for a chance to win her stamp sets. Then, stop back tomorrow for the their Blog Hop and get a chance to see her complete stamp line. Gotta run, have a GREAT weekend!

Warmest Winter Wishes!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
I can't believe it's the last day of November already!! The month flew by, ha? As busy as next month will be, I really look forward to December. I love the Christmas parades, baking, shopping and spending time with family and friends.
I was able to sneak in my craft room today to clean it and get it organized again. It looked like a hurricane went through it, yikes! I also took some time to make a few Christmas cards and this is one of them I would like to share with you:)
My card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, base layer is 4 x 5 1/4. I punched out a circle from the pattern paper using the SU 1 3/8 circle punch so that the red base layer would show through the opening. I stamped the sentiment-Warmest Winter Wishes from My Pink Stamper ~Winter Punnies set.
I cut the cute little snowman from the Snow Friends cartridge at 3" and all the layers. I embossed some of the layers with the swiss dots folder. The face is from Peachy Keen Stamps -Wide eyed kids set. I cut the tag at 4 1/2 from Art Philosophy cartridge and then embossed it with snowflakes folder. I pop dotted and layered the cute little snowman to the tag. I then added some bling, metal corner pieces and some fun sparkly snowflakes that I had in my stash.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Robin's Creative Cottage ~ Let it Sparkle
2.) Cardz TV ~ Make a Christmas card using a image that starts with an "S"
3.) Crafty Sprouts ~ tag it-use a tag on your project
4.) Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday ~ use metal
5.) Whimsical Designs ~Layer it

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
If you would like to enter in my giveaway in honor of my new Granddaughter, please go HERE
For this weeks Challenge me Monday at FCCB, please click HERE or scroll down.
Wow, another post today! I am trying to make it before the deadline on a few challenges. It's been a bit crazy in this household lately so I am running a bit behind but I really wanted to play.
This will be a busy week for all of us with Thanksgiving in just a few days. I am excited that all of my kids will be home for Thanksgiving this year. We have so much to be thankful for but I am most thankful for family and friends. I am looking forward to spending some quality time with them this week and the weekend!
I was able to sneak away and find a little time to create this card for a few challenges. I am struggling to get in my craft room this last few weeks. Things will settle down soon and I will be back on track.
The card base is 5 x 5, base layer 4.75 x 4.75. I cut the turkey from Animal Kingdom cartridge at 3 3/4 plus some of the layers. This turkey looks a little drunk or cross sided, don't ya think? LOL!
I added a pretty rosette in place of the feather layers. I had to add some google eyes. Cute, ha? I used the spellbinders-classic scalloped rectangles for the scallop layer. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I topped it off with some fun bakers twine, lemon drop and maraschino from Scrappy Moms Stamps for a bow and a little yellow feather on her head. Have a great day!
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Die Cuttin Divas ~Turkey Time
2.) Whimsical Designs ~Happy Turkey Day
3.) Paper Cutz ~ Let's talk turkey-Thanksgiving and a turkey cut
4.) More Than Favors-Wacky Wednesday ~Thanksgiving Theme
5.) Robin's Creative Cottage ~Link Up Party. Robin has just revealed her two stamp set and they are for purchase now. You gotta go check them out-they are fantastic!
Thanks for stopping!

FCCB-Harvest Cricut Crawl Winner!!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Thanks everyone who joined in the FCCB Harvest Cricut Crawl Blog hop. That was so much fun and so many awesome projects, don't ya think?
So, do you remember my project for the Cricut Crawl Blog hop?? I did a scrapbook page for my daughters family scrapbook HERE but did not have a picture for it at the time. Well, last night we got to watch Princess Arya for a little while and I got to thinking.....hmmm, lets see what we can do about getting a picture for that scrapbook page that I did and complete that page.
So, I put Grandpa to work quickly and used my garden cart that I had and filled it with some hay, a couple pumpkins and a little leafy swag for some colors. Arya did so good just laying there very content.
I am sure Arya was wondering .......what is this crazy Grandma doing! LOL! I think it turned out pretty good considering we didn't have a lot of time to do this before they got back. I couldn't really prop her in there very good either other then just lying her in there since she's so tiny. Thanks for looking!
Now for the winner of the FCCB Harvest Cricut Crawl!!!
Drum roll......................
My winner, via Random.org from the hop is: #13
Kate from Small Bits of Paper Congratulations Kate!! Please drop me an email with your information so I can get this prize to you!

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
I hope your all having a great week! It has been busy for me this last week but I have a card that I would like to share that I made for a few challenges.
I made this 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card base. I cut out the pumpkin at 2" from the Oct 31st solution cartridge. I did it a few times so I could cut it in another color, green for the leaves. I used a SU border punch for the border, added a button, twine from My Craft Spot and a pretty satin bow. The sentiment "Give Thanks" is from BugBites All Year Round set.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) My Sheri Crafts ~challenge #73-Thanksgiving or Thank You theme
2.) Celebrate The Occasions ~Thanksgiving-must use a punch
3.) Scraptastic Monday ~challenge-embossing, twine and 1 of your favorite colors (green)

FCCB-Challenge #86-Harvest Cricut Crawl Blog Hop
Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion and the Fantabulous Cricut Harvest Blessings Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!
It's Fall and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to create projects to give thanks for our Harvest Blessings! Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Fall project that includes Brown, Orange and Red – along with at least one Cricut cut.
If you've come from visiting the amazing and talented, SARAH at Sarah's Stamping and Stuff, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE .
Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Harvest Blessings" project at FCCB!
As you know, I am a Grandma now, Yeah! My daughter gave birth to healthy baby girl on Friday 11/11/11. We couldn't be more proud of her! She is definitely a little pumpkin and we are truly blessed! Congrats April and Durc!!
Here is my project: I made this scrap page to add to my Daughters Family scrap book. I was hoping the baby would have made her entrance into the world at Halloween time when making this page. I do think she can still use this page and fill in a picture over Thanksgiving time. I have pictured in my mind a wagon filled with leaves, pine cones, fall foliage and a few pumpkins with her propped in the center.....wouldn't that be cute?
I cut the tree at 9" from the Zooballoo cartridge and the cute little owl cut at 2" from the Create a Critter cartridge. The pumpkins are cut from the Paper Dolls Dress Up cartridge at 3.06 and 2.85 and I used the hide feature on the face so I could use the PK-Dolly Dumplins and the Everyday Character set for the cute faces. The "Our"-cut at 2.76, "Little"-cut at 4.11 and the "Pumpkin" cut at 5.69 all from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge. I used a MS border punch for the pretty border and some silk ribbon for the bow. The sentiment- "blessings" is from TradeFish Designs -Got Leaves set. I matted a place for a 5 x 7 photo and wrapped some yummy chocolate truffle twine from My Craft Spot around it. I hope you enjoy my project.
How about some Blog Candy???

Exciting News and Thankful 4 You!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
I have some exciting news to share with all of you! It has been a wonderful couple days for our family. My daughter gave birth to a healthy baby girl last night and we are all doing the happy dance like crazy!!! This is our first Grandchild and we are so excited~ I am so proud of her and happy for her and her fiance. Arya Averie weighed 6 lb 11oz born on 11/11/11. She is absolutely beautiful! It's been a LONG couple days but before I take off to go see my little princess, I wanted to share a quick project with you that I made:)
I have made another gift bag similar to the one last week. I got the idea from Robin's Creative Cottage . For the details/video on these adorable bags, check it out HERE . These are the perfect size for a small gift or to add a yummy treat inside. What I love most is, you can decorate them for ANY occasion. Don't ya just love that?
I made the box according to Robin's directions. I cut out the Pilgrim at 4 1/2 plus the layers from the Paper Dolls cartridge and the turkey was cut at 3 1/2. I used Peachy Keen Stamps ~Princess face set for the darling face. The curly label die cut is from My Creative Time and the sentiment is from K Andrew Designs ~Fall-o-ween set. I used goblin green crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM and honey dew bakers twine is from Scrappy Moms . I hope I have inspired you some and you go check out these boxes. They are so much fun to make!
I am also entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Scrappy Moms-Terrific Tuesday ~ 3D that uses twine and/or a button
2.) Whimsical Designs ~ Thanksgiving Day theme
3.) Cindy's Scraptastic Designs-Scraptastic Monday ~Gift bag or box-Thanksgiving theme
4.) Paper Playtime ~Challenge #60-Thank You project
5.) Crafty Ribbon ~Challenge #6- Anything but a card

Take Time To Relax
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Hope you are all having a wonderful day! I had an awesome weekend with a group of friends
at a scrapbook retreat. We had a blast! I was able to get a lot of projects done and a
start to my Christmas cards.
It's challenge time again over at Fantabulous Cricut today. The challenge this week is:
"Book Lover" - make a book, project with a book on it or even a bookmark.
It sounded like a lot of fun and had to join in. I can't wait til next week as it will be my first actual Design Team Member project for FCCB.

amazing Design Team has created for you this week.
Here is my project:
My card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, base layer is 4 x 5 1/4. I cut this handsome little guy at
4 3/4 from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge plus the layers. I embossed his
pants with the Su-lattice folder. When I cut the book, I cut it in 4 layers so I could pop each page to give it a little dimension. I added a star border using an EK Success punch along with adding
some ribbon and a bow.

The cute face is from PK-Everyday Character set.
I also made a matching bookmark. I cut it at 4 x 5 1/2 folded in in half and adhered it down.
I rounded the corners and added 5 punch holes at the top to add ribbon. I stamped and heat embossed using the SU tassel time and seeing spots stamp set. I cut the little
bookworm at 1 1/2 from Create a Critter cartridge and again did the same as above for the book.
The scallop circle and stitched circle die is from My Creative Time and the sentiment is from
Pink By Design-Summer Vacation.
