Hello Everyone,
I have to say this Kate's ABC cartridge has got to be right at the top of my favorites!! I just love all the cuts and the images are just soooo sweet. You gotta check it out!!!
My card is 5 1/2 and base layer is 5. I used the Kate's ABC cartridge to cut the house at 4" and the layers. The owl at 1 1/2 plus layers, the cats at 1 3/4. The "Welcome to the nest" is cut at 1". I used Elegant Cakes cartridge for the flourish. The grass was cut with fringe scissors by Martha Stewart, buttons from my stash and lace ribbon from SU.
Thanks for visiting,
Sherrie

Create a Critter Card~Wishing you a very happy day!
Hello Everyone,
I want to share a quick card I made for over at Stacy's~Lovethatbug. She is doing a Create A Critter series and I thought it would be fun to join in. Super simple card: My card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 which I embossed using the cuttlebug~dots embossing folder. I cut the alligator at 3 3/4 plus the layers and embossed using the cuttlebug~tiny bubbles folder. I cut the brown layer at 2 x 5 and embossed with the dots folder to layer the alligator on. The 2 layers on the bottom are 1 x 5 pieces that a tore to give it a little different look and attached ribbon from Michael's. The sentiment~Wishing you a happy day is from Hero Arts. Kinda cute, ha?
I also want to say "THANK YOU" to Amanda over at http://fun4me-afrye.blogspot.com/ for awarding me another Sylish Blogger Award and also a "THANK YOU" to Bobbie over at http://icaughtthebug.blogspot.com/ for awarding me another Versatile Blogger Award. I really appreciate you thinking of me!! Please stop over and check out these blogs~they have some wonderful ideas to share with you!

Always & Forever Shadowbox
I wanted to share this shadow box that I made for a friend of mine who's daughter just got married about 3 weeks ago. It was one of my projects I made last weekend during our scrap retreat/swarm. I have made a few of these before and they make beautiful gifts. I hope I inspire you to try making one~they are a lot of fun and the end result is great!!
I started with 12 x 12 black paper as my base. The base layer I used patterned paper cut at 11 3/4 x 11 3/4. I wanted to format around a 5 x 7 photo so I cut a mat size 5 1/4 x 7 1/4 in cream, a 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 in pink and 5 3/4 x 7 3/4 in black. Attaching a satin ribbon bow around the cream layer. I then cut a mat size 6 7/8 x 8 1/2 in cream, 7 1/4 x 8 7/8 in pink and 7 1/2 x 9 3/8 in black for the next layer. I used the Sweethearts cartridge to cut the dove at 2" and embossed it with the cuttlebug~swiss dots folder. I used the gypsy to weld the "Always & Forever" at 1.12 x 3.19 each word separately and the & symbol at 1.22 using Lyrical Letters cartridge. I welded the date at .49 x 2.06 and cut it on vinyl for easy placing. I used a SU punch for around the date. The pretty flower piece on the side of the layout I found at Michael's. Pretty ha??

Hello Everyone,
Hope your all having a great Wednesday!! Boy, it's finally starting to feel like spring!! It's suppose to be in the mid 40's all week. Yeah!
I have made a couple projects today using the Forever Young cartridge. I just love this cartridge! Super fun to play with AND..... don't you just love all the purses you can make??? Hard to decide which one to cut, ha?
I am also entering this in a couple challenges: More than favors CCCC #11~ create a project using the Forever Young cartridge over at http://twoscraptasticgals.blogspot.com/ AND Card Creations & More by Christina~Challenge #6~project using patterned ribbon over at http://cardcreationsbyc.blogspot.com/ Stop over and play along.... They are a lot of fun!!
This cute purse was cut at fit to page=5 1/4. The flower and the layers are cut at 2'. I added the patterned paper that I used on the card to match up with the purse along with the fiskars flower border punch. The bling and the cute polka dot ribbon is from Michael's.
The card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. The base layer is 4 x 5 1/4 which I embossed with the cuttlebug folder~diamond. The girl was cut at 4 3/4 plus the layers. I cut a 2 x 4 patterned ploka dot paper and a 1" strip of black paper for the bottom layer on the card. I again used a fiskars flower border punch and the sentiment~"just for you" is a stamp from Hero Arts.

SPRING is in the air........
Hey everyone,
I just thought I would quickly post this project as I am on a quick break from a scrappin' wknd retreat that I am attending. This project is for a couple challenges that I had a blast playing along in. The challenges are: cricutcardz Challenge #67~Spring project using pink, green and white only AND Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #48. I hope you like it as much as I did making it!!
This is a 5" card with a base layer that is 4 3/4. The scallop and flower plus the layers are cut at 3 1/2 from the Create a Critter cartridge. The little face on the flower is from PK~dolly dumplins faces set. I have used a pretty flower border punch from fiskars. The sentiment "Happy Spring" is from My Creative Time~"color me happy" stamp set, which I love. The solid paper used is from SU and the patterned paper I am not sure what company~just scraps I had laying around.
The box is one that I found at a craft shop that I decorated up. I cut the strips at 2 1/8 x 9 1/2 to fit around the sides and 4 1/2 x 4 3/4 for the top. I distressed it a bit using a distress tool and a color box ink pad~olive pastel. The leaves were cut at 1 1/4 and used the cuttlebug to emboss them using the swiss dots folder. The sentiment "Spring is in the air" is from My Creative Time~"color me happy" stamp set. I used SU punches for around the sentiment. The ribbon and bling are from Michael's. I hope I have inspired you a little on this project as it "really" was a lot of fun making!!!

Hi Everyone,

I embossed the cup using the cuttlebug~sizzix diamond folder and the saucer using the cuttlebug~houndstooth folder. The tag punch and sentiment is from SU~tiny tags set. The ribbon and natural hemp is from Michael's. Have a good night!!!! Thanks for visiting....

Sending LOADS of Love!!!
Wow, we've had some crazy weather the last few days. Some areas close to me got 2 ft of snow. Yikes! Glad we ended up with cold and gusty winds instead of all that snow. Since it was so cold, I decided to stay home and play in my craft room. Yeah!!!
Today's card is for a dear friend of mine who lives several miles away. I wanted to send her a card to let her know I am thinking of her. It was fun to make and I really like how it turned out. I am also going to enter it in the challenge over at More than favors~CCCC #10 and Creative Sisters Monday Challenge.
I used the Doodle Charms cartridge for this card. My card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I cut the bus at 3 3/4 plus the shadow feature. I used Martha Stewart heart border punch on the side of the card and SU punches for around the sentiment. The sentiment "Sending Loads of Love" is from Scrappy Moms Stamp set~Designers Choice. You gotta go check Scrappy Moms Stamp sets out, they are all adorable. The ribbon, natural hemp and buttons are from Michael's. Thanks for visiting!!!!!

Hello Everyone,
Happy Wednesday !!!! Hope everyone is having a great day!
I was trying to come up with something a little different for the challenge #4 over at "Celebrate the Occasion". The theme is "St. Patrick's Day" and to create a card, layout or project. I decided to create a "treat tin" for my friends special poochie. Hope she likes it!! I am happy how this turned out and hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!!!
I had this tin that tea had came in and thought it would work perfect for this project. I wrapped it with printed paper from Reminisce, cut at 5 x 8 1/2.
