Today's card is a little different for me. It is a tri-fold shutter card. I have seen this style of card made before but never tackled one. So, I decided I would give it a whirl. I actually really like how it turned out. Kind of simple, but now that I have it down, I can be a lot more creative in the future. I hope you like it:)
Start out with 5 1/2 x 12 paper. Score it at 2", 4", 8" and 10" then turn the card stock and measure
1 1/2" from long side, using a craft knife make a slit starting at the 2" score and bring down to the 10" score mark. Do this on BOTH sides. Fold at all the creases, then lay flat and decorate by adding pattern paper to each of the surfaces of the card, leaving a little border. Add some embellishments, pictures, ribbon, bling...etc. Folds nicely to fit an A2 envelope. I used prima flowers on my card
and the Holiday Cakes cartridge for leaves. I am entering this in the Fantabulous Challenge Me Monday #58~Flower Shower~project to include at least 3 flowers.
I also want to say "Thanks" to Lisa from http://indymermaid.blogspot.com/ and
Sandy from http://thecraftycreationspot.blogspot.com/ for giving me the Cricut-tastic Award. I am so honored to be giving another Award. I am happy to receive it :)
Now onto the rules: your blog has been deemed Cricut-tastic. Wear this badge proudly on your
blog and share it with friends. Share this award with 10 people that you think have Cricut-tastic blogs. You also have to tell 5 cricut related things about yourself.
Here they are:
1.) I try and use my cricut or gypsy daily.
2.) When I go out of town for something, my gypsy travels with me.
3.) I had to buy the cricut E2 because I am totally addicted to cricut anything.
4.) I have to buy a cricut cartridge monthly. (At least one) never stick to that..always more :)
5.) I LOVE the cricut magazines.
Now lets pass this award on:
