You are appreciated!!!

Hi Everyone,
Yeah, it's Friday!! What a gorgeous day~sunshine and it's suppose to hit 63! What else can we ask for?? Hmmm, maybe the day off of work, ha ha!! Hope everyone has a sunny day:)
Today I made a pkg of 6 cards to help out Anne over at http://paperpatchcrafts1.blogspot.com/ She is doing a Service project for our Troops and trying to collect cards so she can send them to the troops to say thank you and that we appreciate what your doing over there. Her Husband is in Afghanistan and says the moral is down and this might be one way we can help. So, please take the time and stop over at her blog and get the details to participate. This is what I sent to her:

These cards were very simple to put together. My card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I stamped randomly on the cardstock to get a little distressed look. I then cut 2 strips of pattern paper at 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 tearing one along the edge and adhering them down to each other. I stapled a piece of ribbon on and then adhered it all down to my card. I cut the star using the George cartridge at 2.22 x 2.88 and the small star at 1.99 x 1.59 using my gypsy. I then took a star punch and punched the center out and wrapped gold thin string around the stars and mounted it to the card. The sentiment "You are appreciated" on the front and "thank you" in the inside,  is from My Creative Time~So grateful for you set.

**Be sure to stop by tomorrow for the Disney Blog Hop. Sure to be a lot of fun, with great projects and some fun giveaways****

Thanks for stopping by:

  7. OMG these are wonderful Sherrie! Kudos girlie! I hope Anne gets a good response, too. Also, whose to say that we can't do this once ever few months or so until all the troops are home. The card campaign could grow and grow and grow....any thoughts?
