Hi Everyone,
It's finally starting to feel like summer!! The weather is cooperating and it's just gorgeous! I was even able to get out in my flower beds for a while today. Boy, they are desperately needing some attention!
For today's card I decided to make an easel card. I can't believe I have never made one. I have seen so many of them and just never attempted one. So super easy! Anyway, here is goes!
My card base is 4 1/4 x 11 then scored at 2 1/2 and 5 1/2. Then cut another piece at 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 for the piece that mounts to the base. I then made a couple mats~the yellow at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, pattern piece cut at 4 x 5 1/4. I mounted a 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece which I embossed with the star folder and 2 x 3 3/4 embossed with the dots folder.
I attached a accordion embellishment with a star which was cut at 2 1/2 from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge and a cute button from Heidi Grace. The sentiment is from My Creative Time~Wow, so many candles stamp set. I used some pop dots on the bottom part of the card when I mounted the smaller mats 3 7/8 x 2 7/8 so that panel would wedge in and it would stand well.
