For You!

Hello Everyone,

Another beautiful summer day:) A little humidity but that's MN for ya! Today I thought it would be fun to play in a couple challenges~ Christmas in July!  It will give me a chance to have some cards on hand in advance instead of trying to rush at Christmas time when it's SO busy! It seems a big strange to be making Christmas cards in July BUT I will be happy I did ....come Dec, LOL!

I got my mojo going after seeing all these Christmas in July Blog hops going on and all the inspiration. I really had fun...so thanks for getting me going!

This cute Christmas stocking is cut at a5 5.79 using my gypsy and all the layers from the Winter Frolic cartridge. I used coordinating papers from K&Co~Yuletide for the stocking. I found this shimmery off white paper in my stash~I embossed it with the snowflakes folder~ I just love the look of it!  I added some pretty brown/white polka dot ribbon, bakers twine and some boa on the stocking. This design was really quick and you could easily mass produce this. I hope you are inspired and decide to come join us in these challenges!!
I am entering this over at the following challenges:
1.) More Than Favors~Wacky Wednesday Challenge #46~Christmas in July
2.) Cricut Cardz # 85~Holiday, Anything Goes
3.) My Creative Time #223~Christmas Theme/also add material somewhere on project.

Thanks for visiting,

You are one in a Melon!

Welcome all my blogger friends!!

I hope your enjoying your Saturday! I have managed to stay busy and also find a little time in my craft room. I have a card that I quickly made today for a couple challenges.

One challenge is over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday# 70~ Melon Time and the other challenge is over at More than Favors Challenge #26~Campin Critters cartridge. I decided to combine the challenges together and created my card base on that:)

I cut this big rough lookin' (yeah right) Bigfoot at 4" plus his layers from the Campin Critters cartridge. I used My Creative Time's new lacy label and the sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's~The Charmed Life. I cut the watermelon from the Simply Charmed cartridge at 1" and added a little stitching. I tucked that watermelon in his hand so it appeared that he had just takin' a big chuck out if it.  Now running off with it to finish it up.... That watermelon actually looks kinda good and I don't even like watermelon, hehe! Gotta run, out for dinner and a movie!

Have a GREAT day!

The challenge that ends this evening is over at M.A.G Challenge by the Page ~#36 using the Create a Critter cartridge~images on pg 59 only. Nothing like waiting til the last minute...

It's another Stair Step card. I cut the horses at 2 1/2 and 3 1/4 plus the layers. The howdy cut at 2 1/4, star at 3" and the horseshoe at 5 1/4. I embossed the step using a Tim Holtz embossing folder~bricked. Quick, easy and fun:) As I was making this card, I kept thinking of when I was younger (a lot younger) I had a friend who had horses and we use to ride all summer long. Whimsical Wednesday Guest Designer

Hello Everyone,
Happy Wednesday!!! I am so excited and thrilled to be a Guest Designer at Whimsical Wednesday  this week for their challenge "Fun with Folds".  I have loved participating in their weekly challenges. They are so much fun and very inspirational. I am honored to be joining this amazing Design Team this week!

I have decided to make a stair step wedding card for this project. With a few weddings coming up this summer, it was a perfect opportunity for me to make a few.

My card is 5 1/2 x 10 1/2. I scored it at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 4 1/4, 6 and 8 1/4. Folded it accordion style and used a bone folder for crisp folds. I also cut a piece 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 to adhere to the last fold.  I cut the Bride & Groom at 3", the cake at 3 3/4, the happy couple at 1 1/2 and the circle at 5 1/2 all from the Simply Charmed cartridge. The Mr&Mrs cut at 2 1/2 and the rings cut at 1" were from the Sweethearts cartridge. I cut the celebrate at 1 1/4 from the Tie the Knot cartridge.

The first two steps on the card I embossed (white layer) with the divine swirls folder.  The gold paper was some I had on hand which was an embossed raised flower pattern, worked perfect for this card. The circle was cut out of paper I had on hand as well that was embossed with stars. I added a little tulle and bling flower for the Brides veil and some stickles to add some dimension.

I really like how this turned out and I hope you are inspired and decide to come join us in this FUN challenge at Whimsical Wednesday! Thanks again for having me:)

Have a great day!

Have a Beary Merry Christmas tag!

Hello Everyone,
Happy Saturday!! I can't believe how fast the day went. I did not accomplish what I set out to do for today.  I ended up having company for the day which was a lot of fun but I am a bit behind on my craft projects. I guess I will have to kick it in high gear, ha?
I made this super simple and quick Christmas tag for a challenge at My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #17 ~Christmas in July.

I cut this cute little tag from Tags Bags Boxes and More cartridge at 4" and rounded the edges. I cut the trees at 2 1/2 from the Winter Frolic cartridge and added some cute little rhinestones. The sentiment is from My Creative Time.  I like making these little tags up in advance~they look great hanging from a gift bag or attached to a package and you can make them rather quickly.  I actually had fun doing a Christmas project in July. It kinda breaks it up a bit. Great idea for a challenge!

Guest Designer at My Sheri Crafts

Hi Everyone,
I am so honored to have been asked to be a Guest Designer at My Sheri Crafts this week. For this weeks challenge it is PARTY DECOR......Fun ha??  Stop on over and see what the amazing Design Team has created and pick up some inspiration to play along. For my project I decided to do a Baby Shower Theme.

My daughter is expecting the end of Oct and her girlfriends are throwing a shower for her and asked if I could come up with some idea's for an invitation and party favors. Since my daughter found out she is having a girl, I thought it would be fun to bring out the frills and her favorite colors (purple and pink) and work them together in this project. This onesie invitation is similar to one I made not long ago other then I added some lace and changed up the colors. It fits perfect in an A2 size envelope and goes together quickly. I cut the onesie at 4.69 x 7.97 and the layers from Baby Steps cartridge. I added some lace, ribbon and brads. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper~Sweet Baby Set.

I also made these simple party favors by using a strip of pattern paper 3 x 12.  I scored it at 2", 6" and 8",  rounding the corner for the flap and inking up the edges. I then added some pretty lace ribbon, and adhered a bow with a prima flower to it. The circle, scallop are a SU punch and the "baby" is cut at
1 1/2. I filled a 3 x 4 cello bag with chocolate kisses and attached it to the inside and voila...done! Super simple but yet perfect for a shower. I was inspired by another blogger Scrapping Mommy with the cute favors a while back and thought this would be a perfect little favor at each seating. Hope you come join us in the challenge..would love to see your creations!

Thanks for visiting and thanks again for having me Sheri!!

I  did a little embossing to add some character and a little dimension. I used some glossy accents on the cherry and the sprinkles. Hard to see in the photo but really stands out. The cute sentiment is from Joy's Life Yummy Pun Stamps and the die is from My Creative Time. The long card and envelope is from Lasting Impressions.

A Small Break....

Hello Everyone,

I just want to let all my followers know I will be taking a "small" break from posting. My son was in a dirt bike accident and is going to be having surgery tomorrow, so my time in my craft room for now will be limited. I will try and keep things going but if I get behind and you see no postings...that is why.
This is not life threatening~broke the collar bone, a couple ribs and roughed up a bit. He will be needing some screws and a plate in the collar bone because of how far it separated.  Please say some prayers for a speedy recovery:) Thanks for understanding!!

Summer Fun Project

Hello Everyone,

Good morning to you all and happy Sunday!! Wow, what a hot and humid day it is here! How is your weather? Well, since it's so hot out, I decided to stay in the air conditioning and do some inside work and play in my craft room a bit. I have made this project for a few challenges. I also had in mind my little niece, who just had a birthday and can take it with her to there condo for some summer fun.

I found this cute little pail at Michael's. I decided to fire up my cricut, grab some vinyl and see what I could come up with. I found "Summer"on Gypsy wondering cartridge and "Fun" on Once upon a Princess cartridge and welded the 2 words together at 4.16 x 6.55 and cut it out on black vinyl. I cut the tag at 4 1/2 and it's your day at 2 3/4 from the Birthday Bash cartridge. I filled it with some fun tissue, flip flops, outdoor games, water ball and some bubbles.  I added some fun polka dot ribbon, some flowers and of course....some bling and voila!

I am entering it in the following challenges:

1.) Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #23~Summer Fun
2.) More Than Favors~Wacky Wednesday challenge #44~Fun in the Sun
3.) Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge #9~Use bling

Everything is smore fun with you!

Hello Everyone,

Happy Saturday!!!  So, what is everyone doing this weekend?? Any fun camping trips planned? We are hoping to take a drive up the North Shore. It's so beautiful this time of year. I am looking forward to it!
I made a card today for a FUN challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday#68. The challenge is: Let's Go Camping-Create an outdoor theme project.

So, I picked up one of my favorite cartridges this morning, Campin Critters and got to work on this card. I cut out this cute little critter who is enjoying one our favorite things to do when we went camping... roasting marshmallows to make smores! It was funny, because it seems we ate half the bag of marshmallows before we even got one smore done. Everyone LOVED roasted marshmallows!

The card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, base layer 4 x 5 1/4. I cut this cute porcupine out at 3 1/4 plus the layers. The sentiment is from Joy's Life~Wild Life Puns Stamp set. I used my Martha Stewart fringe scissor to add some grass and finished it off with a little twine.

I hope I have inspired you a little and decide to play along in this FUN challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut.  Hope you have a fantastic weekend!!

Guest Designer at M.A.G by the Page!!

H Everyone,

I am so excited and honored to have been asked to be a Guest Designer for M.A.G By the Page .  I have loved playing in their challenges! They have an awesome Design Team with a lot of inspiration and the challenges are unique to having only a page of images to work with, which truly makes this a challenge.

For this challenge we are to use the Rock Princess cartridge and "only" the images on pg 55. Here is what I came up with:)

I made this cute personalized photo box/memo pad for my daughter's desk at work. I included her new little puppy, Kearrah to the project. Isn't she cute???

I got the inspiration from  Creations with Christina a while back and went online to A Treasure Nest and purchased these photo box/memo pads. They are very reasonable and don't you think they would make wonderful gifts?

I simply painted the box and then covered the top with pretty pattern paper and inked the edges. I used the "K" on the challenge page to cut and use as a monogram for the box. I added a tag, some twine, bling, and ribbon to finish it up. Hope you like it! Now, stop on over to M.A.G by the Page and play along in the challenge, we'd love to see your project:)
Thanks again M.A.G by the Page for having me this week!

Also entering in a challenge at My Sheri Crafts Challenge #64~Faithful Companions.

Throwback Thursday "Cricutless Challenge" and Winner!!!

Hello Everyone,

My Creative Time  has a "cricutless" sketch challenge going on and thought I would join in. Talk about last minute, yikes! This would be a big challenge for me since I love my cricut and I can't imagine making a card or layout without using my cricut. At first I thought, how is this possible!

It actually was not as bad as I thought it would be but I still kept wanting to turn my cricut on, LOL!! It's not one of my favorites, it just didn't want to go together the way I had pictured it in my mind. O'well, I hope you like it:)
Here is the sketch for us to go on:

I decided to make an Anniversary card since I needed one this week.  My card base is 5 1/4. The base layer I used my Martha Stewart punch set to create the heart shape outer layer. The next layer (polka-dot) is cut at 3 7/8 x 3 7/8. I found this cute heart embellishment from~ the card connection and adhered it to this pretty prima flower. I used my SU heart punch for the little hearts and glittered the edges for a little sparkle. I added some ribbon and a charm to finish it off.

Now, onto the winner for my 4th of July giveaway via random.org

Tacky Tuesday Guest Designer!

Be sure to go HERE to enter in my giveaway!

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited to have been asked again by the Ooh so talented, Ruthie to be Guest Designer for the Tacky Tuesday's Challenge. Thank you so much Ruthie!  I have always enjoyed visiting her blog over at  September Ninth . She is always inspiring me with her creative projects and I am so happy to be here on her blog today.

The Tacky Tuesday Challenge for today is "Cool Treat" (Ice cream, Popsicle, Shake) AND the word sweet in your sentiment.
Here is my project for this challenge:

I made this Z fold Birthday card starting with a base card 5 1/2 x 10 3/4. I scored it at 3 1/4 and 6 1/2. This yummy shake is from the Nifty Fifties cartridge cut at 4 1/2 plus the layers.  I also added a little ribbon, bakers twine and a cake charm. The sentiments are from  My Creative Time ~This n That stamp set and Wow, so many candles stamp set.

I  made a little pocket to hold a gift card from the DQ for some yummy cold treats!! I even used my sewing machine to stitch around it (which is hard to see) but I am proud as I have not used it in years! I embossed the pocket with the spots folder and added a couple stars from Once Upon a Princess cartridge cut at 1 1/4 and 2 1/2 and a cute little border from a Martha Stewart punch.

Now, lets see if  I can get this card off before I get tempted to grab that gift card myself and head to the DQ. This is one of my weaknesses. I LOVE the DQ :) I hope you enjoy my card and be sure to stop by Ruthie's blog over at September Ninth for all the information to play along with us!

Baby Shower Invitation

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!! We had a an awesome day taking in the parade and going to a BBQ at our friends house. We had a wonderful day and the weather was just awesome!!

I did manage to find a little time to craft this evening.  I made a cute little baby shower invitation using my gypsy and the Baby Steps cartridge. I cut this onsie shaped card at 4.49 x 7.97 plus the layers. I used the hide contour on the flower and the hat because all I wanted to cut was the onsie. I love that feature! I used SU punches for around the sentiment. The sentiment~Baby shower is from My Pink Stampers Sweet Baby Set.

I am entering this over at Cricut 360 Challenge Blog #1~Design an invitation. Stop over and check this new challenge blog out. The Design Team is amazing and you will find a lot of inspiration by visiting them!

I embossed some of the layers with the spots folder, divine swirls folder and the lattice folder. I cut the tag at 2" from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge. The sentiment~sending you get well wishes is from My Creative Time~Pain, pain go away stamp set. I also used some pretty bakers twine that I purchased from My Craft Spot
