Hello Everyone,
Hope you are all enjoying your Labor Day weekend! We have a busy weekend planned but I did manage to find a little time this evening to squeeze in a birthday card for a friend and for a fun challenge at Birthday Sundaes ~Challenge #24 inspirational photo. The challenge is to make a birthday card using the photo as inspiration.
Here is my card:
I cut this yummy cupcake from the Birthday Bash cartridge at 3 1/2 plus the layers. I cut the banner at 1" and embossed them with the divine swirls folder, added some tulle and bakers twine for the bow. The oval and scallop oval are from SU and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper set~Sweetest Cupcakes.
Thanks for visiting,
Sherrie K

Oh this is so pretty! I love the touch of tulle.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the challenge Sherrie! I just love the little extras, like the tulle, twine and sparkle on the sprinkles. Love that sentiment too. Great job. Oh, if I haven't told you earlier, your blog looks great!

ReplyDeleteThis is so beautifully delicious, Sherrie! :o) I can't get enough pink and green.. whatever the shades/designs, it always comes out gorgeous. I love all the embossing and sparkles.. the big dots look amazing against the chocolate swirl frosting. :o) And you used tulle... I keep staring at it and envisioning all sorts of tutus with that pretty shade. :o) Beautiful idea putting it atop the banner like that. I don't know that I've seen those edges on a banner before! It looks amazing. Beautiful work as always, my talented friend! :o) (I LOVE those twine bows!)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings!
