Happy Halloween!!

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!  Since it's Halloween, I thought I would post one more Halloween project for you today. I made this Halloween treat bag/party favor bag with a matching
3 x 3 card.  I hope everyone has a fun and safe night trick or treating! Thanks for visiting!

I cut the box out at 6 3/4 from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge.  The mummy at 4 1/4, the spider web at 2 and 2 1/4 all from Paper Dolls cartridge. I wrapped the mummy with gauze and added some googly eyes. He doesn't look to scary, does he? I tied the bag off with some polka dot ribbon and tulle. The sentiments..."eeeek" and "Boo" are from K Andrew Designs ~Fall-o-ween set.

For the 3 x 3 card,  I cut the cute little ghost from Paper Dolls cartridge at 2 1/2. I inked around the edges and embossed it with the divine swirls folder. The black lace ribbon is from SU and the gems are from my stash.

Happy Halloween!!

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!

So, is everyone ready for Halloween??  I can't wait to see all the little ones come to the door for candy.  They are all so cute and adorable!!!

I would like to share a quick card that I made using the Doodle Charms cartridge. Yes, I did have to dust it off.....it's defiantly a while since I have used this cartridge. I am entering this in a challenge at
Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge  and the challenge is to use that cartridge. I am a also entering this in a challenge over at  Little Scrap Pieces-Copy Cat Friday Challenge  ~which is to create a card, layout or project for Fall, Halloween or Thanksgiving.

My card base is cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge using my gypsy and welding together. I cut it at 5.53 x 4.75, the base layer at 4.95 x 4.25. I cut the spider at 3" and embossed it with the polka dots folder. I added some green googly eyes and pop dots to pop him up a bit on my card. He actually looks like he's gonna crawl off that card...eeek!

I finished it up by adding a green silk ribbon bow, some tulle, a cute wooden button and some twine. The sentiment is from Michael's dollar bin (I think) and the frame is from Spellbinders~ribbon banners die set.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

A cookie will make it all better...

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!

Yeah, its Friday!!!! So, what plans do you all have for the weekend? We are meeting up with our kids for dinner and then off to a college hockey game~should be fun night!! I am planning for Saturday to have a little "me" time so I am hoping to get in my craft room for the afternoon.  I am so looking forward to that. Well, hope you all have a great weekend!!

Today, I would like to share this sweet gift giving idea with you. I purchased this cookie holder-template from The Cutting Cafe. Isn't this just adorable?  It fits a cookie perferctly:)

I do not have SCAL so I printed this and hand cut out the template. I then went to my gypsy and welded a circle and scallop circle from the Birthday Bash cartridge. I printed the circular sentiment and then loaded the mat with that card stock that I just printed the sentiment on and cut the welded shape. It cut great right around the sentiment.  It was a little fussy trying to get it to line up but I finally got it close enough. The circle was cut at 2.73 x 2.88, the scallop at 3.84 x 4.49.

This holds a yummy chocolate chip cookie up to 4.25 x 4.25 inches. I dropped the cookie into a clear treat bag and closed the envelope up. I added some pretty checked ribbon and a little checked button to finish it up. I really need to get SCAL or the silhouette for these cut files because this was a little bit cumbersome. Oh well, I still like the end results. Maybe, you could tell me which one I should get?  Any advise?

You could make these for Teacher's gifts, co-workers, little kids lunch buckets, etc. I just fell in love with this when I saw it and had to make one. You can also get the sentiments as well which punch out perfectly with the SU punch. Hope you enjoyed my project!
I am entering this in the following challenges:

1.) My Time To Craft ~Challenge #163 Quite white
2.) My Craft Spot ~Challenge #31 See through projects
3.) Love To Crop ~Use Circles-circle shaped, circle themed or simply have circles on it.

Thanks for stopping by,

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!

I ran the ghost through the crimper and added some glossy accents on the eyes. The die cut is from My Creative Time ~Scallop & Stitched circle and the sentiment is from My Creative Time ~All Around Halloween set. I finished it up by adding some FUN crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM. If you are looking for a quick treat bag to make, this is perfect. It went together pretty quickly. Hope you  like it!

Halloween Centerpiece

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!

Wow, where did the weekend go???  Hope ya' all had a good one! I would like to share this centerpiece I made.  I was shopping and found these items ALL at 1/2 off. So, I thought why not take advantage of a sale and get my juices going to create something. So, here is what I came up with:)

I took the washed out tray and added the sparkly purple~ little spooky garland and layered it on the tray. Then, I took these cute little lanterns and added some vinyl cuts to them. I cut the BOO at 1 1/4, the EEK at 1 1/4 and the GHOST at 3" all from the Happy Hauntings cartridge. I used white vinyl and had my speed on high and my pressure on med. I transferred them to the lanterns using transfer tape. SUPER EASY!!

I added some webbing and some cute beaded spiders that I had in my stash. I cut a few bats at 3/4" and attached them to some wire to have them appear as if they were flying around. Just add a few tea lights.....kinda fun and yet an inexpensive centerpiece.

I am entering this is the following challenges:

1.) Decorate to Celebrate Challenge #11 ~ Halloween theme party or celebration
2.) Frosted Designs-Fabulous Friday  ~Color challenge
4.) Whimsical Wednesday Challenge ~Halloween Home Decor
5.) She's a Sassy Lady ~Stretch yourself

I have toned it down for this post, LOL! Today I would like to share a stair step card with you. It was a little bit more time consuming due to all the cuts.  I think it's a bit to busy. But I kept messing with it and finally said.....no more, just leave it alone. Anyway, I  hope you like it:)

Halloween Gift Box

Hello My Crafty Friends and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!

Hope your all having a good week!!! My hubby has been gone on a business trip for the last few days and the house seems so empty BUT I have manage to really get a lot done. I have been so far behind with everything that it felt good to have my evenings to get these small projects done that I have put off. Yay, feels good!

I also found some time this evening to clean up my craft room a bit AND make a project. Life just can't get much better :) Well, except for that little munchkin (grand-daughter) that we are waiting for....just a couple weeks!  I can hardly wait!

I made this cute Halloween gift box from the Wrap it Up cartridge.  I cut it fit to page which was 9".
I also cut the spider out 2 more times to pop it up to give it some dimension along with embossing it with the polka dots folder.  I took a close up shot so you could see the FUN ribbon and a little more of the details.

I found this super fun lacy ribbon with beads on  it at a close out store last year and it's perfect for this box, don't ya think?

I added some Halloween ribbon, tulle, a couple pretty buttons and a sentiment which was from
K Andrew Designs ~ Fall-o-ween set to finish this project up. Hope you like it and I have inspired you to try making one. it went together really quick and I really like the end result! Let me know what you think :)

Hi Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!

Happy Sunday all! This afternoon I had a little time in my craft room to made a quick card for a challenge that ends this evening. Wow, talk about last minute, ha?  The challenge is over at Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #34-Use red, black and white.

I decided to make a Christmas card for this challenge. I have many cards to make for the holidays and I thought that maybe this would help get me in the mood to get started.  I cut the tag base at 3.35 x 11.95 from the Winter Frolic cartridge. I used my gypsy and welded them together. The base layer is cut at 3.12 x 5.51 using paper from Recollections-Sugar Plums.

The penguin is cut at 4" plus the layers and the "Sweet Holiday Wishes" cut at 1 1/2. I added a little stickles, gems, google eyes and a satin bow to finish it up.  I love the google eyes....they actually have a spring on them so they stick out a bit. Hope you like it:)

The stamp is from My Creative Time~All around Halloween set. This awesome and fun crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM called~Witches Brew.

This next tin... is done the same way with the exception of adding the vampire. I cut the vampire from the Mini Monsters cartridge at 3 3/4 plus the layers. You Rattle My Bones!

Hi Everyone,
Another gorgeous day in Minnesota!! Lovin' it:)  I have been super busy at work and home trying to get caught up after being gone. Crazy week!!!  I did managed however, to find a little time today to make a quick project for a challenge over at Paper Cutz ~challenge #111 that ends this evening. The challenge is to use a cut image of a skeleton or skull & cross bones. I thought it would be the perfect time to use this embossed gift card holder die that I purchased from My Creative Time. I really like this die cut!

I cut the skeleton from the Happy Hauntings cartridge at 3" and the sentiment is from Pink By Designs.  Perfect stamp set for this gift card holder, ha? I added a black silk bow, some tulle and a polka dot brad.  It went together really quick. Great project for gift card giving for the up coming holidays. Thanks for looking)

Hoo-ray for you!

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your week so far. Wow, what a beautiful day... in the 70's!!  A little cool compared to the temps in Mexico but I won't complain. Glad to be home :) Today, I have a card to share with you that I made for a few challenges that are going on.  I hope you like it!

This card is cut at 4 1/4 x 11. The tag is cut at 3 3/4 and 4" from the Wrap It Up cartridge. I also embossed the tag with the dots folder.  The Owl is cut at 3" plus the layers from one of my favorite cartridges, Happy Hauntings. I also added some google eyes and embossed the branch with the lattice folder. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper-Tweentie Hoo Puns stamp set. I added some orange buttons my blogger friend CARRI gave to me in a little gift pack last week. Cute ha?

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

1.)  September Ninth~Tacky Tuesday's Challenge ~This months cut is an "Owl" and sentiment must have the word "Hoo" in it.
2.) Paper Playtime Challenge #57~Cricut Creation using Black, Orange and Purple.
3.) Cricut Cardz Challenge #92 ~Make a card for Halloween using an Owl from any cartridge.

Thanks for visiting,

My Life is much better with you in it!!

Hello Everyone,

I'm back!!!!  Happy Monday to you all~that is whats left of it, LOL!  I am so HAPPY to be back and working on getting things back in order. My hubby and I were on a trip in Mexico for the last 10 days is why I have not been posting projects or commenting. Please know that I had very little Internet access there so I have some catching up to do. I did go through most of my emails to see all your fantastic projects and you all "rock" and are SO very talented!!!! Such fun and inspiring projects~I really enjoyed viewing them all! I missed blogging and I am hoping to get back in my craft room to work on some up coming holiday projects... so be sure to come back and check them out!

I was able to squeeze in a little time when we were in AZ to meet up with a blogger buddy which was so fun~In fact, we are hoping to catch up again in the near future. Thanks for taking the time to meet up with me Carri:) I had a blast!!

I found a little time to fit this quick card in just for all of you:) I truly enjoy blogging and all my friends that I have made along the way...thanks for being a part of my life!

For this card I used the Peachy Keen ~Skunk Cheer Up Stamp Set. Isn't this skunk adorable?? I stamped it and colored it in with chalk. I also stamped the flower bouquet from the same set. I used colored pencils for the flower, added some glitter along with some bakers twine for a little bow. The sentiment~My Life is so much better with you in it~ is from K Andrew Designs ~Positive Thoughts set.
I am entering this in the following challenges:

1.) Whimsical Wednesdays Challenge~Anything Goes
2.) Scrapalicious USA Challenge~Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!
