Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
It's finally Friday.....yeah! I have so much to do this weekend...anyone feeling a little overwhelmed? This is a crazy time of the year, that's for sure! Well, today I have a quick card that I made using the Birthday Bash cartridge for the shape of my card. I cut it at 4.37 x 5.12 and the base layer at 3.64 x 4.11 using the gypsy to weld together.
I cut the little owl out and all the layers from the Winter Frolic cartridge at 3". I embossed the owl with the divine swirls folder and added some cute little google eyes. I used stickles on the leaves and on the owls hat and arms for a little shimmery look. The oval and scallop circles are from SU and the sentiment is from Trade Fish Designs ~Got Leaves stamp set. I topped it off with a little stitching and pretty polka dot bow.
Be sure to stop by and pay Stephanie a visit at Whimsical Designs. She has her stamp release sneak peeks going on right now. There are amazing projects and a lot of inspiration. You have until midnight tonight to comment and for a chance to win her stamp sets. Then, stop back tomorrow for the their Blog Hop and get a chance to see her complete stamp line. Gotta run, have a GREAT weekend!
Thanks for visiting,
Sherrie K

I just love scalloped shaped cards. Yours is too sweet with the bow on top and your perfect doodlin'. Love that polka dot paper and your glitter accents. All add up to one cute hooter!
ReplyDeleteHi Sherrie think the little thing that holds my cards for my pictures is called a flower frog. It is really used for flowers you put in at the bottom of a vase then place the stems in it to help arrange them. I got mine at AC Moore in the section where they sell vases. Sure Michaels or Hobby Lobby would have them too. Let me know if you can't find one I can get one and mail it to you.
ReplyDeleteLove love love this card!! I'm smitten with owls & yours is adorable :) I love all the detail in your card, especially the embossing & the Stickles. 2 of my faves - owls & glitter!
ReplyDeleteSherrie, this is absolutely adorable! That is one sweet little owl! I love the embossing, all the gorgeous sparkly accents, the beautiful shape, and of course the ribbon and button... sigh. I always leave here happy! :o) Beautiful in every way. I am sorry for the delay in this. I was overwhelmed with crafty stuff and then family stuff, so I had to take a break from Blogger for a few days. I knew you would have incredible creations waiting here... off I go to the next! :o)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings!
