Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! I had a GREAT time with my daughter and some of her bridesmaids at the Bridal Expo. We actually knocked out a few items on our to do list...yeah!!! We got the photographer booked, the cake picked out and the limo booked. She also made reservations to go pick out the tuxedo's and bridesmaid dresses. We all had a great time but Boy, have the costs ever change from when I got married almost 30 yrs ago! Wowzers...big eye opener!
So for today, Monday, it is another Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. Even though this is not my Design Team week, I just had to play in the challenge!! For this weeks challenge it is: Snow Time-Use a snowflake or snowman on your card or project.
I am still needing some thank you cards to send out from the holidays, so this challenge was perfect for me. My card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and the base layer is cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/4. I embossed the base layer using the snowflake embossing folder. The next mat is cut at 3.90 x 5.25 which I welded two snowflakes that were 1.00 x 1.10- grouped and then cut out of pretty pattern paper from the DCWV-Peppermint Frost.
I cut the snowman from the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge at 4 1/2 plus the layers. I embossed the hat pieces with the lattice folder and added a few buttons on the snowman. I also added a big satin bow, some doodling and the sentiment-Thank you SNOW much is from Trade Fish Designs.
Now, be sure to stop over at Fantabulous Cricut and check out all the inspiration from the Design Team!! They have created amazing projects to share with you:) We hope you are inspired and come join in the challenge. We would LOVE to see what you create!!
I am entering this in a challenge over at Little Scrap Pieces~ Anything Goes and Getting Cricky-Simple Sunday Challenge -Let is snow/use embossing. Be sure to stop and check it out-Kristal also has her new Valentine stamps available to order.....they are super cute:)
Thanks for stopping,
Sherrie K

Cute Snowman card. Especially like the ribbon & the use of the buttons. Wedding costs have changed a lot since I married and hubby. We were married outside in a Rose Garden in Orlando, FL. Hubby & I paid for the wedding with the exception of the photographer (he was a friend and his gift to us was photographing the wedding) and my Father paid for the alcohol at the reception. My 2 sisters in the wedding made their own dresses.

Oooh, this is lovely! I absolutely adore that paper! The embossing beside it is so gorgeous.. it seems like a continuation of the pretty snowflakes nestled within the hearts on the patterned sheet. :o) The polka dot snowflakes look wonderful. I love how you used two types of embossing/snowflakes. (Only worded better! Hehe.) Of course the snowman looks amazing with his doodles and sweet buttons.. but my oh my do I LOVE that bow. You are pure genius with bows. :o) What a festive and fabulous thank you card, my friend! :o) (And I'm so happy you had a great time with the girls! I don't want to think about weddings costs.. I'll probably be doing that next year! Yipes!)
