FCCB Challenge #95-Label It

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps.with Passion!!

Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you had a great weekend! It was a very low key weekend for me. I haven't felt good with this terrible cold and not a lot of energy, so I pretty much accomplished......zero this weekend! I am hoping to get in my craft room this week as I am super behind on things:( Don't ya just hate that feeling? Oh well....it will get done one way or another!

Today it's another Challenge Me Monday Challenge over at  Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. The challenge this week is: Label It-create a project using a scalloped shape or other label shape (other then a plain circle) I hope you come and join in the fun:)

For my project I have made a scalloped shaped card using the Birthday Bash cartridge. The base layer is 4.51 x 5.40 which I welded the two shapes together using my gypsy. The base layer is cut at 4.00 x 4.61 and next layer at 3.18 x 4.47. I then layered a pretty paper doily I got in the Jan 2012 card kit "Fun Love" from Shop Pumpkin Spice and inked the edges with Tim Holtz-Victorian Velvet distressed ink.

The sweet little puppy is cut from the Sweethearts cartridge at 3.40 x 3.54  plus the layers. I embossed the puppy using the lattice folder. I added some googly eyes and marichino bakers twine for the bows which I purchased from Scrappy Moms Stamps.  The tag is from a SU punch and the sentiment~ Puppy Love from a new stamp set that I purchased from My Craft Spot called Build a Valentine. Super cute set! I finished the card off by adding a little doodling, a pretty pink satin bow and a sweet polka dot heart button that came in the kit too:) Hope you like it:)

Now, be sure to stop over at Fantabulous Cricut and check out all the inspiration from the Design Team!! They have created amazing projects to share with you:) We hope you are inspired and come join in the challenge. We would LOVE to see what you create!!

Thanks for stopping by,
Sherrie K

  1. I hope you got plenty of rest this weekend, Sherrie and that you are feeling better. It really amazes me that you can create something so fabulous with no energy and not feeling well! This is so absolutely adorable!! I used that same doggie cut for my project tomorrow and mine isn't nearly as cute as yours!! Using the lattice embossing folder on him was genius!! And I love love the lace doily and of course your fabulous bow!! Gorgeous card my friend!! Feel much better soon!!

  37. Oh Sherrie, this is cute AND gorgeous! That must be the most adorable puppy I've ever seen. The lattice folder makes it resemble knitting, which is just so cool looking. Who doesn't love knitted animal friends?! :o) I crazy love that puppy cut! The bows are so adorable, and her sparkly collar... and of course you always select the most lovely backgrounds for your projects. The doily is exquisite and the plaid is whimsically fun. Topping it off with that pretty button and silky bow is perfect. Lovely work once again, my friend. :o) FCCB is always so inspiring. :o)

    Hugs and blessings!

  43. Sherrie,
You have so inspired me to use that adorable puppy cut from Sweethearts. I am in love with this card and OMG, that texture you added is just so perfect! Must have that folder! Is it a Cuttlebug folder? You totally rocked this challenge! Everything about this is perfection. I think our team did spectacular this week. You guys have all really inspired me to think outside of the box! I've seen techniques and cuts I have never used and I'm so excited to try them out! This one's going in my "scraplift" folder. ;) Hope you don't mind!
