Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!!
I am SO loving this beautiful 40 + degree weather. It is certainly strange for us in Minnesota to have such warm weather for this time of the year...but hey, I don't mind! It makes me want to start spring cleaning....NOT, lol!
I was able to sneak in my craft room a bit and work on getting more organized and after a couple hours of that I decided to take a break and make a quick gift bag for a little gift that I was going to to give my boss in appreciation for being so generous over the holidays.
I made this gift bag from a paper lunch bag after seeing the idea and tutorial from Sara- a DT Member at The Paper Variety. I was so inspired that I had to make one. Stop and check out the details HERE on Sara's project- you will love it! It is such a cute idea and you could dress it up for ANY occasion:)

I started with a white lunch bag and cut it down to 8". The used a Martha Stewart punch to create a pretty lacy look border. I embossed the bag with a sizzix flower set (to me it looks kind of like snowflakes) Then added a center strip piece 3 1/2 x 5 and gave it a border using a Martha Stewart snowflake punch.
The snowman was cut at 4 1/2 from the Winter Frolic cartridge and embossed some of the pieces with the polka dots folder. The adorable face is from PKS 522- Winter Faces. I cut the snowflakes at 1 1/4, 1 3/4 and 2 1/2 from the Joys of the Season cartridge and the little frame is cut at 1 1/4 from Art Philosophy cartridge. The darling sentiment is from Whimsical Designs- Whimsical Fun Vol 1 set that I had won on Stephanie's sneak peek release. Thanks again Stephanie!
The finishing touch was the ribbon I added that is actually recycled as it came on a package that I received a while ago. I just couldn't throw it away...figured I would use it someday! Hope you enjoyed my project:)
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Whimsical Designs - Challenge #3-On the Edge- Create something with a border or use an edge punch on your project.
2.) The Paper Variety -Create a project using Black and White with a kiss a color (any color) I used blue.
3.) Little Scrap Pieces-Copy Cat Friday -Winter challenge
4.) Paper Playtime -challenge #64-use something recycled
Thanks for stopping,
Sherrie K

I would die! I like this Maryland weather where most winter days are around 50 degrees!

When I watched video and heard the #17 I looked thru my notebook (yes I keep a notebook how else would I keep track of all the challenges I enter), saw I had written down #17 and went to the challenge post to verify that my entry was indeed #17. Sometimes an entry will be deleted and # can change. Doing the happy dance.
