Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
I hope you all having a great day! It has been snowing here the last couple days......yeah! We really need the moisture since we haven't had much for snow this year. It is so pretty and it's a great day to cozy up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate...that brings me to my project for today:)
My card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I cut a pink mat at 4 x 5 1/4 and the polka dot mat at 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. I cut the hot chocolate mug at 3 3/4 from the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge and inked the edges with momento rich cocoa. I added snow marker on the marshmallows and heat embossed it to puff them up. I actually really liked that effect:)
I made a lacy border using a punch from Martha Stewart and then added a fun polka dot ribbon and pretty bow. The flower is cut at 3" from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I added a couple fun brads and a cute sentiment ~"Three of my favorite words: crafting, caffeine and chocolate" is from My Creative Time ~My Favorite Sayings set~Isn't that such a cute sentiment? I also added a small little tag from SU-tiny tags and tied it with bakers twine from My Craft Spot.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) My Sheri Crafts ~Challenge #79-Warm Wishes
2.) Frosted Designs ~Fabulous Friday Challenge-brads and/or eyelets
3.) Reasonable Ribbon ~Challenge #42-Pink, brown and ribbon theme
4.) Scrappy Moms Stamps ~Terrific Tuesday-Tag your it!
Thanks for visiting,
Sherrie K

Hummm with marshmallows too~ how delish....awesome Sherrie!
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not we also have snow here on the Big Island but at a higher elevation... The last two days we had a storm that sort of passed over and so our beautiful Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa mountains got snow... I think if you google you might be able to get some pics of it... I'm waiting for it clear up a bit so I can take some photos... right now it's too cloudy up their....
What a cute card! My favorite colors too... I think I'm going to go get some hot chocolate right now :) TFS

Oooh, this is gorgeous! I too love the heat embossed look to the marshmallows... they look all melty and ready to devour. :o) The tag looks fabulous and I positively adore your layers! That's my favorite border punch and it looks gorgeous like this. (Can I just say that it reminds me of Neapolitan ice cream? That makes it even more perfect.) The sentiment is indeed fabulous, as is the ribbon that so perfectly coordinates with the sweet mug. My friend, every single one of your creations are incredible.. thank you for being a constant source of inspiration. :o) Have a sweet night, Sherrie! (OH and I love how you created this while it was snowing! Teehee!)
