Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Wow, can you believe it.....April 1st! Yikes, does the time seem to by flying by or is it just my imagination? They say the older you get the faster thing seem...I am beginning to feel that way. Come on, slow down, lol !
Today is my design team day at Go Fish Challenge Blog and we are asked to create something that is fun or funny! I have to say I was struggling with this-it's like my brain was frozen! No kidding.....
I made a fun card (I hope you think it's fun) for my nephew who loves hanging out at the beach and/or pools in the summer. He loves the water and has all these fun pool toys. The beach balls, snorkeling, scuba diving rings, goggles, flippers etc for summer fun. I will be adding a little gift card to the inside so he can go buy a couple new things for the pool. I hope he likes it!
This card base is 5 x 5 and the base layer at 4 3/4 x 4 3/4. I cut cute Elmo and the layers at 4 12/ plus the layers from the Sesame Street Season's cartridge. I added a small strip of yellow that is 1 1/2 x 5 which I embossed with the dots folder along with a border using a SU border punch. The circle and scalloped circle are from a SU punch and the sentiment is from Pink by Design ~Vacation set. I added some fun bling around the sentiment, a couple little buttons and a little bow to finish the card.
Be sure to stop by Go Fish Challenge Blog and check out what the amazing Design Team has created. Hope you come and join us in the FUN of FUNNY challenge:) Can't wait to see what you create!

3D Artisan Door Hanger Box
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Yeah....it's the weekend!! It's been a busy week.....looking forward to a little down time! I have a quick project to share with you that I made using the Silhouette Cameo. I found the 3D Artisan door hanger box cut in the Silhouette store and thought it would be fun to make a couple.
The tags are from My Creative Time Curly Label die and Scallop & Stitched Circle die along with the sentiments from My Creative Time~You had me at Chocolate and Many Greetings. I distressed around the edges to give them a little pop along with some bling. I then filled them with some yummy chocolate Rolo's and finished by adding a little bow:) Cute ha?
Thanks for stopping and have a great weekend!

Guest Designer at Liz's Paper Loft **
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
I apologize for not commenting or posting much the last few days. I have had a touch of the stomach flu and finally feeling like I can hold my head up again. I hope to get caught up over the weekend:)
I am excited to be today's Guest Designer over at Liz's Paper Loft. Liz has asked some very talented ladies to fill in while she is recovering from shoulder surgery. I am so honored to participate and to help Liz out. She is amazing and so very talented and hope she gets back to crafty really soon. Make sure you stop by Liz's blog daily to see all the wonderful talented designers showcasing their work. Thanks again Liz for asking me:) Hugs!
Here is a card that I made using the Elegant Edges cartridge for the base of the card. I welded the two shapes using my gypsy at 5.48 x 8.60. The base layer is cut at 5.13 x 4.19. I then added a layer under the scallop which I used a Martha Stewart lacy punch for the border for some dimension along with distressing it with Tim Holtz-walnut stain. The scallops are from Spellbinders Nestibilities-Lacey Circles again distressed with Tim Holtz-walnut stain.
I then cut these fun flowers from the Flower Shoppe cartridge at 2 3/4 and the leaves at 1 1/2 and pop dotted them for more dimension. I added a fun sentiment that is from K.Andrew Designs ~Scripture Sayings set. I added a few heart buttons, some fun bling and a satin bow to finish the card up.

FCCB Challenge #103-Spring is in the Air!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Happy Monday everyone and I hope you had a great weekend! I had a wonderful weekend spending it with family. The baptism for baby Arya was beautiful and she was so good! She is such a little peanut and such a happy baby! Today, is also my wedding Anniversary. Wahoo... 29 years! I can't believe it's been that long. It really doesn't seem that long. I have honestly been blessed with an amazing man, that's for sure!!
Today is also Challenge Me Monday over at Fantabulous Cricut and we would love for you to come join in the challenge. Today's challenge is "Spring is in the Air" and we would like to see you use at least 3 flowers on your project.
I have made a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card. I used a Martha Stewart's lacy punch and ran it along the edges of the front of the card-both sides. I then cut a layer piece at 3 7/8 x 5 1/2 and rounded the edges.
I then cut a layer piece at 3 7/8 x 5 1/2 and rounded the edges and pop dotted sweet little Abby which is cut at 4 1/2 plus the layers from the Sesame Streets Season's cartridge. Isn't she just happy and full of life? So cute! I added some fun flowers for the bouquet from the Flower Shoppe cartridge and they were cut at 2". I also added some perfect pearl mist to the flowers to give them a shimmery look. It's hard to see in the picture but I really like that shimmery, pearl effect.
I had to add a big bow for her hair...I used some yummy crinkle ribbon from my friend Julie over at 3 Girl JAM. You should stop over and check out her ribbon. She has such fun colors and very reasonable:) The sentiment is from My Creative Time ~Turn that frown upside down set which is a great set to have in your collection:)
Now, pop on over to Fantabulous Cricut and see what the amazing Design Team has created for you:) Be sure to come back and join in the challenge!!!
I am also entering this in the following challenge:
1.) Docerela Creations ~Pastel Colors

Happy Birthday!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
I hope your all having a great week! How about this weather?? I am just loving the sun shining and the warm weather. Our snow is almost gone....yippy! I like winter but so ready for spring/summer.
I have a birthday card that I would like to share with you today. This is a 5 1/2 x 5 1/4 card and the base layer at 5 1/4 x 5 which I have distressed with Tim Holtz distressed ink-walnut stain. I have used two larger of the Spellbinders Nestabilities die-lattice rectangles for the 2 frames which I again have distressed. The smaller frame that is cut out of kraft paper is also embossed with the sizzix flower folder.
The flower is cut at 2" from the Flower Shoppe cartridge, distressed and sprayed with perfect pearl mist and heat dried for a shimmery effect. I added a little banner from the Spellbinders-shapeabilites die-ribbon banners along with a sentiment-Happy Birthday from My Pink Stampers Family & Friends set. I also trimmed it out with kraft paper to give it another layer and more dimension. I added a butterfly that I is from the butterfly layering punch-EK Success which I added a little bling and distressed the edges. I then sprayed the whole card with a light layer of perfect pearl mist. It is really hard to see in the picture but I really like the look of it. For my final touch, I added a big satin brown bow:)

I used glitter paper that I had in my stash~not sure where I got it from, sorry :( I embossed the foam with the divine swirls folder and added star dust stickles for a fun look. The shamrocks are cut from the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge at 2.18 x 1.58. I added a some doodling and a little bakers twine to the shamrocks for a little pop. The sentiment~ Happy St. Patrick's Day is from Jaded Blossom's ~Luck of the Irish set and Celebrate is from SU~Wonderful Words set which I distressed the edges with the Tim Holtz-walnut stain. Thanks for looking :)
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Scrappy Moms Stamps ~St. Patrick's Day
2.) My Sheri Crafts ~St. Patrick's Day
3.) Especially Made For You ~St. Patrick's Day
4.) Pink by Design ~Green or St. Patrick's Day
5.) Creative Cutter Room ~St. Patrick's Day

Let your Dreams set sail!
Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
Hello Everyone! I hope you had a great week so far. I have a stair step card to share with you that I created for a challenge over at Getting Cricky-Simply Sunday Challenge~Create a project with a pirate/fishy theme.
I know there are a lot of websites out there with the directions to stair step cards. I believe, I originally got the directions from Splitcoaststampers if you are in need of directions for this style card.
I cut the fun pirate ship from the Wrap it Up cartridge at 3 3/4 plus the layers. I embossed some of the layers to give it some dimension. I added some water by just tearing paper and layering it. I then embossed it with the divine swirls folder along with some distressing for more dimension. The little girl and boy pirates are stamped from the set-K.Andrew Design Pirate Party which I used my copics to color in. I added a fun treasure box that I cut at 1 3/4 from the Life's a Party cartridge. I added some grass using my Martha Steward fringe scissors and added a couple of sentiments that are from the Pink by Design~Summer Vacation set to finish it up.

You are a true friend!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Happy Thursday! I hope your having a great week! I have a card to share with you today that I made using my Imagine! Yeah, my Imagine...can you believe it? I am really happy with the way this card turned out so I may have to work harder at using this machine more often :)
The base of the card was cut at 4.74 and base layer at 4.50 from the Birthday Bash cartridge. I then used Lori's Garden Imagine cartridge for the remaining portion of my card design.
I flood filled the scallops with pattern paper selected on this cartridge in pink and red. The pink layer was cut at 4.5 and the red layer at 4.7. I distressed the layers using Tim Holtz-walnut stain distressed ink. I cut the cage at 3.5 which was also distressed and the sweet 3D bird at 2.5. Cute little birdie ha? I added a little bling, some prima flowers and the twine is from My Craft Spot. The sentiment "you are a true friend" is from My Creative Time ~Many Greetings set. I topped it off with a big double teal bow.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) My Creative Time ~Monday Madness Imagine that-use colors teal, red and pink.
2.) My Craft Spot ~Challenge #47-For the birds-project must include a bird.

Wishing you the best today, tomorrow, and always.....
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
I have a card that I would love to share with you that I just love how it turned out. I had won over at DL.ART~Thankful Thursday challenge a few weeks back and Diana sent me this wonderful pack of hand made silk and cotton paper. The patterns are so pretty and a lot of texture on these papers. I just love it! Thanks so much Diana!
My card base is 6 x 6. The base layer is cut at 5 7/8 x 5 7/8 using this beautiful gold paper from this stack. I used the papers from this stack for everything on this card except for the base of the card and the label the sentiment is on.
I cut the cream/gold flowers from the Art Philosophy cartridge at 4", the black flower is cut at 3 1/2. The butterflies are cut at 1" and 1 1/4 from the same cartridge which I distressed with Momento-desert sand and then added a little bling. The labels are from a Spellbinders die set-Label Nine and the beautiful sentiment is from Close to my Heart-Curly Sentiment set. I added some pretty tan silk ribbon and a pretty bow along with this gorgeous lace beaded ribbon that was left over from a kit that I purchased from Pumpkin Spice back in February. Isn't that beaded ribbon just gorgeous? Oh, I just love it, especially next to this beautiful paper. Thanks again Diana!
I am also entering this in a few challenges:
1.) DL.ART-Thankful Thursday ~3 layers, a bow and bling
2.) Docerela Creations ~Friendship card
3.) Paper Playtime ~Challenge #69-Delicious die cut creations using flowers
