Happy Monday everyone!! Wow, can you believe it's April? I do love a few things about the month of April-warmer temperatures, Easter and my birthday (only the cake and celebrating though-not turning a year older, lol!) How about you?
Well, it's another Challenge Me Monday over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog today. The challenge is Egg-ceptional Easter- make a project with an egg on it:)
For my project I used the Easter 2010 cartridge. The Easter basket is cut at fit to page= 10 3/4. I used papers from We R Memory Keepers-Hippity Hoppity line. The cute little chick is cut at 3 1/2 and stamped a little face using the Peachy Keen-critter face set. I thought I would add a little feather/flower to her to hoping to jazz this chick up! The grass at 3 1/2 fit to length and the eggs at 3". I embossed some of the eggs using the divine swirls folder and then folded in half and adhered 2 together to make them 3 dimensional. This idea for the 3D eggs came my amazing and talented blogger buddies Lisa at A Mermaids Crafts. Check out her project Here -simply adorable!
I also made a small coordinating 3 x 3 card to go along with this little basket. I cut the scalloped circle from Spellbinders Nestibilities-Lacey circles. The little bunny is cut at 1 3/4 and the sentiment is from My Creative Time ~Color me Happy set.

ReplyDeleteAs much as I dislike that I got behind this weekend due to my spinal situation, it was a treat having three new and amazing creations to look at. :o) I love this colorful celebration of Easter! The patterns and embossing are beautiful and I ADORE that sweet chick! Feathers and a flower?! Perfect. I also love the sweet coordinating card. What a precious bunny. Both projects turned out great! I really like the basket and didn't know that was on that cartridge. I hadn't really paid it any attention. I guess I need to get it together. LOL!!! Thanks for joining us at Getting Cricky with K. Andrew's Simply Sunday Challenge. Hope to see you real soon.

Oh,oh, oh, Sherrie, This is about the cuteset basket ever!! I love the colors here and that little chick is so so cute. When I saw Lisa's eggs, I fell in love with them. Wemade them in my kindergarten calss. It was fun but ph, so much work. It was a great experience in folding in half. You cannot een imagine some of the folds I saw. They loved the eggs when they finally finished making them.
