Congratulations on finding each other!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!

Happy Friday!! I hope you are all having a wonderful day!! I have a busy weekend planned again. Heading out of town to visit my parents. I also have a bridal shower on Saturday to go to for my nephews bride to be:) I am sure it will be a blast and fun getting together with everyone!

I have a few bridal showers and wedding coming up and thought I better get going on some cards. Here is a quick card that I made using Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangles for the base of my card. I cut out another one for the base layer, distressing it and embossed it using a folder (not sure what it's called) it came with my new cuttlebug.  I had to go buy another cuttlebug as mine broke the other day :( I mean, really? How do you break a cuttlebug?  Oh well......back in business, lol!

I then cut  2 labels and embossed them from the spellbinders label nine die, pop dotted another label that I cut at 1 1/2 from the Lacy Label cartridge and distressing it using Tim Holtz-old paper distressed ink. The sentiment is from SU~A word of you set.

I cut the flower at 2" from the Flower Shoppe cartridge, distressing it, embossing it and adding some fun beaded ribbon. I finished the card by adding some rhinestone flourishes.

Thanks for stopping by!

  12. Sherrie, this is gorgeous! the colors and shapes are beautiful and I love that flower/pearl cluster. The embossing throughout is so lovely and the sparkly flourishes are marvelous. I've only used that embossing folder once (as 'lily pads' on a froggie card), and I must say this was an ideal place to use it. It instantly made me think of when the bride throws her bouquet! Little petals in the air. :o) Hehe. Gorgeous work, my friend! I'm sorry about the Cuttlebug breaking and that you're missing crafty time.. I am so impressed that you keep your blog this active during such busy times. I hope you squeeze in some extra time soon! Enjoy the festivities this weekend! :o)

    Hugs and blessings!

  13. Sherrie, this is so elegant and stunning!! I absolutely love the color palette!! And the flower is gorgeous!! What a beautiful, beautiful card my friend!!

Sorry to hear about your Cuttlebug, but I fear I may be in the same boat soon...every time I run something through it gets harder and harder and it creaks and groans!! I like using it for smaller cuts instead of the Grand Calibur since you don't have to crank as much. I'm thinking mine will last another month, maybe less :/

I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing time with your family!! Safe travels :)

    Hugs, Lisa :)
