Happy Monday!! Boy, did the weekend ever fly by! Hope you had a good one:) Today is another Challenge Me Monday over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. The challenge this week is: Mother's Day! Make a project for your Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt or another special lady in your life using her favorite color.
I made this Mother's Day card for little Arya to give to her Mom-my daughter. This is my daughter's first Mother's Day to celebrate being a Mommy and is doing a fabulous job. We are so proud of her:) Of course, Arya is a bit to little to help but I thought it would be fun to make a card and sign it from little Arya. Her favorite color is purple:)
I made this fun bird house shaped card using the Create A Critter cartridge and my gypsy to weld them together. I cut it at 4.00 x 5.46 plus all the layers. I embossed the roof with the divine swirls folder for some texture. The birdie is cut at 2 1/4 and added a fun googly eye and embossed the wing again using the divine swirls folder. The lacy circle and scalloped circle is Spellbinders die-Lacy Circles and the sentiment
is from My Craft Spot -Tiny Tags set.
I added a fun leaf along the bottom which was a Martha Stewart leaf punch that I used. I added some fun crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM and a little tag plus sentiment is from My Craft Spot-Tiny Tags set. I also added in some twine and a cute little stick pin.

What a sweet, sweet card Sherrie! Your daughter is going to love this and cherish it forever because it came from 2 special ladies in her life! What a fabulous card for her first official "Mother's Day". When my granddaughter (Emma) was very young and I wanted to give something to her mommy "from Emma", I inked up her tiny hand or foot and added the print to the card. Then I would write Emma's name and the date. Another fun memory to cherish!

Aww Sherrie! Not only is this card super sweet, but so are YOU for making this 'for' Arya! I bet her beautiful heart guided you. :o) I love this birdhouse. The embossed purple roof is beautiful and the little birdie is gorgeous! The tiny embossing on her wing is such a lovely touch. I adore the beautiful cluster of ribbon, twine, button, tiny tag, and heart pin. This is just bursting with Mother's Day love. :o) Wonderful work, my friend!

Obviously I must be wrong because you cannot have gotten married when you were 3 right? ;0) Anyways, your project is BEAUTIFUL!!! What a wonderful treat it will be for your daughter no doubt!
