Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
Hi Everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful day. I can't believe it is JUNE!!! Wow, the time is just flying! Today is another challenge over at Go Fish Challenge Blog. and is also my last post as a Design Team Member :) I have a very busy summer ahead of me including my daughter's wedding this fall which is going to make crafting a bit difficult. I have had such a wonderful time being a part of this amazing team and I "thank" everyone on the team and especially Cecilia and Kate for having me. I have loved every minute of it and hope to have this opportunity again in the near future!
This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge AND to create a Father's Day card. Here is the sketch photo inspiration for you:
Here is my take on the sketch:
My card base is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and base layer at 5 3/8 x 5 3/8. I added another layer that is cut at 5 1/4 by 4. I layered a fun piece of burlap and then a scalloped circle that I cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge at 3 1/4 and 3 1/2. I added some fun banner cuts that are cut at a 1 3/4, an oval at 1 1/2 and stars a 1/2, 3/4 and 1" all from the same cartridge. I inked around the edges of the oval with Tim Holtz-walnut stain and embossed the stars for some dimension. I also added a fun stitched ribbon and cute tag/sentiment-Dad, your the best is from this adorable stamp set called~Tiny Tags from My Craft Spot. I added a label tag that is cut at 3/4, inked with Tim Holtz-walnut stain and sentiment-Just For You from Expressions.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you stop by Go Fish Challenge Blog and check out what the AMAZING Design Team has created for you and come join us in the challenge. I would love to see what you create:)
