You are a Great Friend!
Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Happy Friday all!! What a beautiful couple days we've had here in Northern Minnesota! I was able to get outside for just a bit and I can't believe how nice all my perennials are coming up. I love this time of the year when things are really taking off and flowers are starting to bloom. How's you weather where you are?
I hope you all have a great weekend! I am actually catching up with some high school friends for a girls weekend. I am so excited :) We plan to do a spa, take in a movie, go out to eat and for sure
go ........shopping!! Sounds like fun, ha?
Today, I have a card that I made using a new spellbinders that I recently purchased ......thanks to my good blogger friend Lisa at A Mermaids Crafts. She is such an enabler, lol!! I am telling you this girl can really show off those spellbinders well. After seeing her projects, you want ALL the spellbinders! She is one amazing and very talented crafter. Go check it out for yourself HERE. You won't be sorry!
For the base and base layer I used the Grand Label 4. I inked around the edges of the base layer using Tim Holtz distressed in-victorian velvet. I then layered a fun piece of burlap down and then layered a scalloped circle and frame that I cut at 2 3/4 from the Live Simply cartridge. I inked around the edges of that also and pop dotted for dimension.
The pretty butterfly is cut from the same cartridge at 2" plus the layers. I layered the flower on a scallop circle that was cut from the Spellbinders-lacy circles dies and the flower using My Creative Time ~Rolled flower die. I added a double bow using ribbon from both 3 Girl JAM~baby girl and My Craft Spot ~vanilla bean together which I really liked the look and then layered another beautiful flower onto that.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) The Paper Variety ~Handmade flower on project
2.) Paper Playtime ~Use a die cut and make a bug card
Thanks for visiting,
Sherrie K
