Hello...

Hi Everyone,

I want to start off saying "Thanks" to all of your for your sweet comments and prayers for all of us that were affected by the flooding here in MN. I am so very touched by the messages and emails that I have received! Thank you all so much!!

There is still a lot to do but making huge progress!  We had our lower level flooded which was a large family room, bedroom, utility room, bathroom/shower and sauna room and laundry room. We spent every bit of 2 days trying to just get the water out, furniture, clothing, etc hauled out of that level. Then we tore out all the carpeting and padding...oh my gosh, is that heavy!! We had a company come in and sanitize, deodorize and spray for mold. They set up 6 large industrial fans and 2 large dehumidifiers for 3 days and then came back and sprayed again. Things are drying up finally!

On Friday evening (very late) we discovered our water heater went out which was a big pain as I had all this wet stuff I was trying to wash, UGH! Bad timing for that to go out...anyway, we are up and running again. Thank goodness!

There is still a lot to do but I really think I need to walk away from it for a few days since I have been so consumed by it....so maybe I will get to my craft room just for a peace of mind and create something :)
I will be posting a project really soon the I actually had almost done before the flood. I will be sharing that with you sometime tomorrow.

Thanks again for being so kind and thoughtful!  I hope to be back real soon :)
Hugs,
Sherrie K

  5. Sorry to hear that you and your family had to go through such an ordeal with your flood damage and repairs. The main thing no one had gotten hurt but just dealing now with all the replacement cost.
I'm glad you still have some spunk in crafting.. We here in Hawaii especially on my island we've never or I would say I have never experience anything or went through a disaster in my home. For some reason the Hawaiian Islands always seem to dodge the hurricanes....
Take care Sherrie and everyone in blogland feels for you....
