Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
Hi my Crafty Friends,
It's been a bit crazy and overwhelming lately for me and I apologize for not getting around to see everyone's projects. I promise I will be back real soon...... as soon as we finish getting things back in order. Thanks for understanding and for your patience..I miss all of you!
I am really excited that Joanna asked me to be the featured Guest Designer for the IBSIC #15 Photo Inspiration Challenge over at her challenge blog called Inspired by Stamping. I had stumbled on this challenge blog awhile ago and have really enjoyed playing in her challenges. Her team of designers are super talented, creative and very inspirational. Joanna also has an amazing stamp line. So, be sure to pop over and check it out, you won't be sorry! Thanks again Joanna for having me!
This is my project I have created for Joanna's challenge. I was asked to create a project using red, white and blue and this photo for inspiration....
I have made a decorative frame for my Granddaughter, Arya's first 4th of July celebration. I thought it would be fun to take a picture of her at the 4th of July parade all dressed up, add it to the frame and give it to her Mommy and Daddy as a surprise.
The papers I used are from We R Memory Keepers-Stack Pack-red, white and blue collection. I cut the "celebrate" from the Straight from the Nest cartridge at 1.94 x 5.35. The fireworks are cut at 1 1/4 and 1 3/4 from the Stand & Salute cartridge. The scalloped edging around the picture opening is from Spellbinders-Grand Scallop Rectangles die and then traced the window opening and cut out with exacto knife. The 4th of July is cut at 2.57 x 2.64 from the Independence Day cartridge and the sweet little girl is cut at 3 1/2 plus her layers from the Baby Steps cartridge.
I added a cute little face using the PK~Wide Eyed Kids set, added some rosy cheeks and glossy accents for the eyes. I finished it by adding a couple bows, some doodling and some bling around the frame. Now, it just needs the picture :) Be sure to check out the amazing DT projects HERE for inspiration and join in the challenge!
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #59-red, white and blue with ribbon
2.) Scrappy Moms Stamps ~Terrific Tuesday Challenge-Patriotic Pride
3) Cricut Cardz Challenge #111 ~Summer Fun
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
