Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Happy Friday!!!!! I hope you have some fun stuff planned for the weekend?? My husbands 30th class reunion is this weekend so we will be going out of town on Saturday and Sunday. It should be fun catching up with some classmates. We went to the same school and we were high school sweethearts....going on 30 years of marriage this March! Even though we are 1 year apart we knew everyone from both classes. I won't tell you who is older...hmmm. I can't believe it's been 30 yrs though!
Well, I have a Wedding and Anniversary card that I made to share with you. Using the same design just changing it up a bit...
For this wedding card, I used the Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangles for the base of the card. The base layer was embossed with the polka dots folder. The next layer was embossed using a sizzix flower folder. I cut the adorable love birds from the Something to Celebrate cartridge at 2 1/4 plus the layers which I embossed with the divine swirls folder. I added some fun lace ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and merlot crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM, I added the awesome sentiment which was from My Craft Spot ~Happily Ever After set. The tag was from My Creative Time ~Teeny Tag Greetings set.
For this anniversary card, I used the same design. I just changed the colors around and used crinkle ribbon from my friend, Karen at Little Scrap Pieces along with a pretty stick pin that I won from Jessica's Craft Shaque which I LOVE! The sentiment, congratulations is from Jaded Blossom ~Wedding Wishes set.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Fantabulous Cricut-Challenge Me Monday #121-Wedding Bliss
2.) DL.ART-Thankful Thursday -Wedding or Anniversary
3.) Jaihart -Sundays are Lovely #11
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful weekend!

Wedding shoes and Pay it Forward!
Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
Hi everyone! I hope your having a fabulous week!!! Okay, since my last post I have been asked by several bloggers about my shoes that I picked out for the wedding. Well, here they are......Now, hopefully I can walk in them, lol!! No, just kidding. I think I can handle a little heal.
I was being pressured into shoes with much higher heals BUT I do need to walk in them...right AND most likely ALL day too. My daughter is 6', my sons and hubby 6'4" and for me......just under 5' 7". So, that is why she wanted me in HIGH heels. We settled for these and I think this will be perfect. What do you think?
I also was so surprised when we returned from our long day of shopping there was a package on the counter for me that came in the mail. Was not expecting anything, didn't order anything..couldn't figure out. I opened it up and this is what was in the package :)
My dear sweet friend, Chriss from Scrappin' with Chriss and Lou sent me some goodies as an Random Act of Kindness! I can't even begin to tell you how touched I am. It has been such a crazy month with the clean up from the flood and some remodeling that I have felt so overwhelmed with everything. On top oft that, trying to get things done for the wedding. Yikes!!
Chriss, thank you so much for thinking of me and I can't wait to get back to creating and using these goodies. You definitely surprised me and put a big smile on my face:) Now, I am happy to "Pay it Forward" and I have just the right someone in mind that could use a little pick me up to.....:)

To my Favorite Chick!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with passion!!
Happy Tuesday everyone! I can't believe a week has gone by since I last posted. Oh, where does the time go these days? It has just been a busy time for me but eventually things will slow down so I can get back to some serious crafting.
I hope you all had a great weekend. We had a blast at the Mall of America and yes, I found my shoes.......Oh, I kept thinking of a couple of my blogger buddies, Lisa and Shelly who just love shoes and how fun it would have been to have them shoe shopping with us. However, I am SURE I saved money because they are big enablers, lol!
I have a quick card to share with you today for a challenge over at Creative Cutter Room. The theme is Chick or Chicken!
This shaped card is cut from the Birthday Bash cartridge at 4.76 using my gypsy to weld the shape together. The circle is cut at 3.94 and the cute little chick is cut from the Country Life cartridge at 3 1/4. I embossed the chick's layer with the tiny bubbles folder and distressed the edges with Tim Holtz-walnut stain. I added some burlap from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper-Tootie Hoo Puns set. I finished it off with a double bow using crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot, some twine and a fun button.
Have a great day!

Welcome Baby!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hello my crafty friends!!! I hope your all enjoying the weekend!! I have a baby card that I made using my Imagine. Yes, can you believe it? Gasp!!!!! I dusted it off and fired it up...yay! The card base is 5 1/2 and the base layer in pink polka dot is from using the shaped cartridge in the Imagine. I flood filled it with a pattern selected from the Baby Boutique cartridge which was cut at 5.5. I cut another mat 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 that I embossed with the polka dots folder.
I then popped dotted this pretty frame also from the Baby Boutique cartridge cut at 5.4 and the adorable stroller at 3.5. I added some ribbon trim to the stroller that I won from Really Reasonable Ribbon and a couple pearls for the wheels. Isn't this ribbon just gorgeous ribbon? The sentiment, Welcome Baby is from the Pink By Design-Baby Love set. I topped it off with a double bow and some pretty gem flourishes.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Little Scrap Pieces ~Fun Friday-Anything Goes
2.) Krafty Girls ~Challenge #11-Color Splash (black, white and one other color)

Thank You!
Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Wow, it's been a while since I posted a project :( I apologize but it's just been so busy here trying to get our flooring done. The in floor heating went in the bedroom over the weekend and now we are onto the tiling. We will then be on to the family room next. We are doing most of the work ourselves to try and keep the costs down some so that's where I have been even though I would much rather be crafting..... I will keep my fingers crossed that this all gets done in the next week or two :)
I did sneak in a little time to craft, yeah!
My card base is 4 3/4 x 4 3/4. I added a small blue mat on the bottom, cut at 2 1/4 x 4 3/4. I layered a white mat that was cut at 2 x 4 3/4 which I embossed both with the divine swirls folder. The white mat has a border that I added using a punch from Recollections. I then added a fun bow with crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM~colors antique white and daffodil which was made using their amazing bow maker. Super easy and so fun!
The pretty fabric flowers are from Recollections that I found at Michael's on clearance for 2.00 for a jar of them. The leaves are from Spellbinders~Foliage die set which I distressed with Tim Holtz-old paper. The
oval is from Spellbinders~Beaded Ovals die and the smaller oval is a SU punch. The Thank You sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping ~Heartfelt Gratitude. One of my favorite sets!
I wanted to play in a few challenges that I miss playing in. It was perfect because I needed a thank you card for a special friend who spent so much time helping me the day of the flood. I will be entering this in a challenge over at Go Fish ~Challenge #20-Thank you card using your favorite color (which one of mine is blue) BTW, I am really missing you guys at Go Fish!!
A challenge at Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge ~#16 Sketch Challenge

Happy Saturday!!
Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Happy Saturday!! I hope you all had a great week and wonderful 4th of July! We had a wonderful time at all the festivities and then enjoyed a BBQ at my daughters home. I wanted to share a quick picture of my little Granddaughter, Arya at her first 4th of July parade along with her cute little puppy, Keerah. Arya is almost 8 mo old already on the 11th.....Wow, time sure flies. Seems like she was just born!
Here is a couple more pictures of Arya. As we were waiting for the parade to begin, we decided to stop in and visit our dear friends who have the funeral home in town.
