I have made a fun table decoration for the upcoming holidays to share with you. I have a friend that shared this idea with me that she found on Pinterest. I saw this and new immediately I had to try this. They are super fun and really easy to put together:
I purchased the foam cones at Michael's in the different sizes. I dabbed on some SU green and red ink to the cones and then hot glued the red and green mints to them. I added a fun double bow and adhered them to the cones. The stars are cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge at 2.76, 3.00 and 3.35 I also cut the shadow to each of the stars and embossed them with the divine swirl folder. Fun ha? So, what do your think? Cookie Exchange Treat Bag!
Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! We had a wonderful time back home visiting with our family and friends. So, did anyone adventure out for the big "Black Friday" shopping? We had really bad weather so we didn't make it out to the stores until late Friday afternoon. We were kind of bummed but the roads were glare ice and on top of that we got about 4 inches of snow. Oh well, I managed to get a little shopping done on Fri so I have at least started:) Yeah!
I also started some holiday baking, yum! My dear blogger friend, Karen at Kaleidoscopic Sparkle shared a yummy recipe (Pumpkin Gingersnap Cookies) with all of us a while back and I knew right away I had to try these for my family. My kids have always loved homemade cookies when they were younger and still to do this day come over looking for cookies. Be sure to go HERE for the recipe so you can try it:) Thanks again Karen-they are awesome!
So, I thought this would be fun to make a few batches of these. I have packaged some for a small cookie exchange that I am in at work and of course...some for my kids, which they loved!
I decorated a few of these cellophane bag with a cute little gingerbread girl from the PK-gingerbread girl set. I colored her with copics, which I am still learning, yikes... don't look to close, lol! I added a cute little face and gave her some rosy cheeks. The sentiments are from Pink By Design Tags & Treats stamp set. I topped it off with a double gingham bow. I hope they like them!

So Thankful for You!!
Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Hi Everyone! I am sure it's been a busy week this week for many of us trying to get ready for Thanksgiving. We will be doing some traveling for the holiday so I will be catching up on visiting your blogs upon my return. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and safe travels for those who are traveling. I also want you to know that I am so grateful for all the friendships I have made through blogging. I am so amazed how kind, thoughtful and sweet you all are:) Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
I had a little time to sneak in my craft room before we take off to make a quick card using the new Teddy Bear Parade cartridge. My card base is 5 1/4 and the base layer 5 x 5 which I distressed the edges a bit with the SU distressed tool. I used a punch from Martha Stewart along the bottom and then pop dotted the bear on that. I cut this little turkey bear at 4" plus the layers. I used the gypsy to hide the face features so I could stamp the face using the PK-critter face set.
I embossed some of the layers with the polka dots, divine swirls and diamond folders. The little label in the corner is a SU punch and the sentiment is from My Craft Spot~ Happy Thanksgiving set. I finished it by adding a satin bow, button and twine along with some faux stitching.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) My Craft Spot Challenge #76~Thanksgiving
2.) Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #138~Be Thankful
3.) Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday Challenge~Use and animal
4.) Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #92-Thanksgiving

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Well, it's hard to believe but little Arya is 1! For those of you that have been following me, you know that Arya is my Granddaughter. She was born last year on 11/11/11....fun birthday, ha? She is such a sweet little girl and we have been enjoying every minute of her.
We had a big celebration and I wanted to share a little of her big day with you! So, here we go......she loves Elmo so, that was the theme her parents wanted to go with. They asked me to do some of the decorations and party favors which I was happy to do them.
I used the Elmo's Party cartridge for this project:
THE PARTY INVITE:
THE BIRTHDAY BANNER:
ARYA'S PARTY HAT:
MORE PARTY HATS:
THE DRINK CUPS:
ELMO PARTY FAVORS:
ELMO RICE KRISPY TREATS:
ARYA'S BIRTHDAY CARD:
We had a great day with family and friends stopping by. Arya was a little overwhelmed and a bit tired by mid day but she was a good little trooper trying to get through it all. I will be posting some picture's of the birthday girl tomorrow or Wednesday so hope you stop back:)

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Happy Wednesday! I have been a crazy person running around this week getting things ready for little Miss Arya's 1st birthday on Sunday! The theme will be ELMO:) Who doesn't love Elmo....it will be fun. I will and share some of the things I am making sometime next week.
Today, I wanted to get in on the Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge. I just love their stamps and I haven't had the chance to join in much lately. Here is the sketch to follow:
I wanted to make a special card for my daughter to let her know how proud I am of her. She has been working her tail off and just received another promotion at her job along with being such a great Mom to Arya.
For this card I cut this adorable bear from the Create A Critter cartridge at 3.5 x 2.78 using my gypsy so I could hide the face features to use the adorable PK~cute and cuddly face set. Isn't she just the cutest?
I added glossy accents to the eyes and chalked up her rosy cheeks. I added a fun tulle skirt, some twine from My Craft Spot and a pretty little flower which was from Inspired by Stamping. I pop dotted her to a lacy doily and then finished with a sentiment from My Creative Time ~Gift card sentiment set.
I am also entering this in a challenge at Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge-Teddy Bear Picnic which is another fantastic challenge blog! Stop over and check out all the adorable Teddy Bears....Oh my gosh, soooo darn cute!

Snowmany Hugs!
Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Hi Everyone!!! Those of you who are having 80 degree days......please send some my way, lol! I am super jealous! It's been cold back here in MN :(
I created a tag today that I would like to share with you. I was hoping to start building up my Christmas cards/tags stash and noticed some fun challenges going on at the same time. What a way to get motivated.......we definitely will be needing them soon, ha?
My tag is cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge at 6 1/2. The jolly snowman is cut at 3 3/4 plus the layers from the Christmas Cheer cartridge. I embossed the snowman's belly with the swiss dots folder and added a darling face from the PK-winter face set. I also distressed the edges with frayed burlap to give a little vintage feel to the tag. I used papers from the Authenique Collection called Wonder. I added some fun pom pom border trim that I picked up from Liz's Paper Boutique and the crinkle ribbon- hot chocolate and merlot are from 3 Girl JAM. The sentiment is from My Creative Time -Mixed holiday Sentiments. This is the perfect size to add to a larger gift bag or larger package.

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Hi everyone! I know Halloween is over but I have just a couple thing to share with you. I made some mummy cupcakes and little treats for the little kiddo's at Arya's daycare for their Halloween party last week.........not the healthiest that's for sure but they were fun to make!
I made 24 treat bags and filled them with goldfish, gummies and a sucker and gave them to the kids in Arya's Little Tots room.
Now, here is the little elephant......... I could not get her to look at me when taking pictures....she was so distracted but I will share them anyway:)
