Cookie Exchange Treat Bag!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! We had a wonderful time back home visiting with our family and friends. So, did anyone adventure out for the big "Black Friday" shopping? We had really bad weather so we didn't make it out to the stores until late Friday afternoon. We were kind of bummed but the roads were glare ice and on top of that we got about 4 inches of snow. Oh well, I managed to get a little shopping done on Fri so I have at least started:) Yeah!

I also started some holiday baking, yum!  My dear blogger friend, Karen at Kaleidoscopic Sparkle shared a yummy recipe (Pumpkin Gingersnap Cookies) with all of us a while back and I knew right away I had to try these for my family. My kids have always loved homemade cookies when they were younger and still to do this day come over looking for cookies. Be sure to go HERE for the recipe so you can try it:)  Thanks again Karen-they are awesome!

So, I thought this would be fun to make a few batches of these. I have packaged some for a small cookie exchange that I am in at work and of course...some for my kids, which they loved!

I decorated a few of these cellophane bag with a cute little gingerbread girl from the PK-gingerbread girl set. I colored her with copics, which I am still learning, yikes... don't look to close, lol! I added a cute little face and gave her some rosy cheeks. The sentiments are from Pink By Design Tags & Treats stamp set. I topped it off with a double gingham bow. I hope they like them!

Thanks for visiting,
Sherrie K

  10. I hope you included me on your cookie exchange list! They sound so yummy and you have created such a fun way to give them away! I bet these would sale like hot cakes at a craft sale! Here in Canada we had a few stores having there a Black Friday sale and I did get a couple of great buys. My problem is, I have finished my Christmas shopping and when I do go out I just want to keep on buying. Already started to get a few Birthday presents done since the buys have been so good. LOL! Have a great week and stay safe on the roads.
