Believe in the Magic of the Season

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!

Hi my crafty friends! It's been a busy few days just trying to get all my cards/tags done along with last minute wrapping!! My oldest son flies in this evening for the holidays...yeah! So excited to see him!!  He loves Oreo truffles so I am in the middle of crafting and making truffles....hope they turn out!
Here is a Christmas card to share with you that I made for a friend to go along with her gift :) I really had a hard time getting a good picture of this...it really is pretty and the embossed background really pops but hard to see on this photo :( sorry!


The base is a Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangles along with the base layer which as embossed with the sizzix snow flurries folder. The label is a Spellbinders Labels Nine and the tree is a fabulous stamp that my blogger buddy Shelly at My Paper Love sent to me. Thanks so much Shelly!!! I dry embossed the tree and added some gems and a star. I inked all the edges with SU-wild wasabi. The tag is a Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two die and the sentiment is from Jaded Blossom ~Christmas Wishes set. I finished it with a flourish and a pretty double bow with ribbon from my stash.

    Very pretty. That tree looks similar to the Spellbinder one. Great color with that deep green and the shimmering gems sparkle just right.

    Another stunning card, the christmas tree is just so beautiful with all its little gems. I picked up a new embossing folder yesterday to finish off my Christmas cards. Thank goodness they will not be delivered till Christmas Day when the whole family is getting together at my little sisters house. (this gives me time to finish them off lol!) Just in case I don't get back to your blog. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones have a safe and wonderful Holiday.

    This is so beautiful and elegant. The tree has such a great shine to it, at first I thought it was designer paper or something. I can't believe that is a stamp that you embossed. What kind of powder do you use? Fab embellishments too. Your friend is going to love this.
