Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone, I hope your having a great week so far. It's been a busy one! I am super excited for my youngest son as he purchase his first home on Friday AND it's in our home town! Yeah, how fun is this:) So, my hubby and I are helping him with some remodeling, cleaning, repairing etc. The house was vacant for a year so it really needs some TLC! It is a spacious 2 story home with 3 bedrooms, 4 bath, beautiful living and dining room. A great project for all of us to help with! The timing isn't all that great with the holiday's but Oh well, it's already chaotic trying to get everything done........at least he's not moving in til mid January so that helps a bit:) We did end up with about 8" of snow over the weekend. Wow, it's amazing how pretty it looks when you get the big fluffy flakes.
I did manage to squeeze in a little craft time so for today, I have a fun Christmas ornament to share with you using the fun Peachy Keen Stamps Nov. 2012 set. I love this set! I colored the sweet little elf with my copics (still learning, lol) and layered him on this fun ornament cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge at 4 1/2 plus the layers. You could definitely used this as a tag too so I made a few for packages as well :)
The embossed the ornament with the snowflakes folder and then distressed the edges with Tim Holtz ~Victorian Velvet ink. The papers are from Recollections-Sugar Plum. I added a little holly that I cut at 1 1/4 for the leaves and 1 3/4 for the berries, also from the Art Philosophy cartridge and then finished it up by adding some yummy crinkle ribbon and twine from My Craft Spot.
I am entering this in the following Challenges:
1.) Peachy Keen Stamps ~Challenge #46-3D object-ornaments
2.) My Craft Spot ~Challenge #79-Wrap it Up!
3.) Go Fish ~Challenge #30-Christmas theme
4.) My Sheri Crafts ~Challenge #100-It's a Wrap!
