Happy Monday! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I was able to get some house work done, crafting, organizing done and even a little snowmobiling in! How about you?
It's time for another challenge at My Craft Spot! Today, the challenge is "Wish Big"! This is an awesome challenge........who doesn't need extra birthday cards on hand, right?
It's time for another challenge at My Craft Spot! Today, the challenge is "Wish Big"! This is an awesome challenge........who doesn't need extra birthday cards on hand, right?
I made a card using the Art Philosophy cartridge using the card feature for the shape which is cut at
5 1/2. The base layer is cut at 5 1/4, the banner at 1 1/2 x 5 embossing it with the diamond folder and then a mat that is 3 x 3 1/3 for this cute mouse to sit on. The little mouse cut is from the Birthday Bash cartridge which is cut at 3 1/3 plus all the layers.
I used papers from My Minds Eye-Fine and Dandy Boy collection and distressed the edges with my distressing tool along with inking the edges with frayed burlap. The tags are cut at 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 from the Art Philosophy cartridge and then stamped using My Craft Spots Birthday Wishes stamp set. The
fun banners are My Craft Spot Lacy Banners Metal Dies stamped using the fun Chunky Alphabet for the letters and then weaved some yummy My Craft Spot Traditional Baby Blue Bakers Twine through the loops and tied off with little bows. The fun skittles are from my friend Carri at DoubleClick. She has an amazing assortment of colors. Be sure to check it out-super fun to add to your cards or projects:)

Sherrie, my dear friend, this is both gorgeous and whimsical! You know that makes me swoon. :o) Critters peeking out of gifts is one of my favorite cards to see from people! I just love it. The papers are so lovely and the layering is so pretty. I love those banner dies and the way you strung them with twine. :o) The sentiment is so sweet! Delightful creation, my friend. The recipient will be overjoyed! I'm glad you had a wonderful weekend! I did, too. :o)

This is absolutely gorgeous, Sherrie!! I love all the layers and the papers you used!! The mouse is so stinkin' adorable!! And the banner is fabulous!! What a fantastic card!!

What a darling little card! The lacy banners and twine are super sweet and your little mouse looks precious peeking out of the gift. Sounds as if you had a wonderful weekend. Working on my cleaning today (yuck), but just had to take a little break to see what my crafty friends are up to. Enjoyed my visit with you as always and I'll be back soon!

What a darling card this is, I love the colours you used and the sentiment is just perfect! We arrived here in Arizona today and it has been raining for the last 3 days, there is even a chill in the air. No pool for me today LOL! But I guess this beats the snow. Glad I was able to find a internet connections tonight so I could catch up on my favorite blogs creations. Have a great week.
