Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi everyone and happy Friday! It has been a long week and let me tell you, I am looking forward to the weekend! Our poor little Gizzy (our 16 1/2 year old poodle) isn't doing all that good the past few weeks and really taking a turn for the worst the past few days so that's been weighing heavy on our minds:( I don't have a lot planned this weekend so we are going to spend some good quality time with Gizzy and possibly get some crafting in and get my new computer up and running with all my software. Lets hope!
We have another fun Friday challenge for you today over at Little Scrap Pieces and hope you come join us in the challenge! The challenge this week is: Get Well. With the flu season upon us, this is a great time to have some get well cards on hand....I never seem to have enough of these!
We have another fun Friday challenge for you today over at Little Scrap Pieces and hope you come join us in the challenge! The challenge this week is: Get Well. With the flu season upon us, this is a great time to have some get well cards on hand....I never seem to have enough of these!
Here is my card for inspiration:
I started with a Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangle for the base of my card. The next layer is a brown mat that I cut and embossed with the swiss dots folder. I then layered that on a Spellbinders Classic Rectangle which I embossed with the sizzix floral folder and then a Spellbinders label nine on that. The flower is 6 circles cut using the SU 1 3/8 circle punch and folded in the corners. The leaves are from the Spellbinders Foliage die and the little center gem is from my stash.
The get well soon sentiment is stamped using My Creative Time -Pain, Pain Go Away set along with the sentiment that is on the Spellbinders Fancy Tag die.
I added a little bling to the tag and a fun gingham double bow and small paper rose cut at 1" from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I inked some of the pieces with Tim Holtz frayed burlap.
Be sure to go check out what my DT sisters have created for inspiration and then come back and play. We would love to see you join us!!
As always, thanks for stopping!

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about Gizzy. I had a poodle for a little over 15 years. He was my baby and even after four years, I still can't get another dog. Enjoy your time with him. Saying a prayer for you!! HUGS :)
