Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday Challenge-April Showers

Hello and Happy Friday Everyone! Wow, it's been a very busy week for me and I am so glad to see the weekend here! I haven't had much time to craft or blog this week but hoping to play some catch up over the weekend. Can you believe we are in for 3-6 inches of snow tonight, ugh!  What happened to spring???? That's MN for ya!

It is my birthday next week and I was given some money over Easter that is burning a hole in my pocket, lol! Too funny ha....I sound like a little kid!! So I am planning on some "me" time over the weekend with my daughter and future daughter in law. We are going to do a little shopping at the mall and then go to my favorite new store.....Hobby Lobby! Yeah, I shouldn't have any problems spending that cash, ha?

Today, we have another Fun Friday challenge going on at Little Scrap Pieces. We hope you come join us!  The challenge is: April Showers

Create a card, layout or project and use an umbrella, clouds, rain boots, etc.
Here is a quick card to share with you for some inspiration:

My card base is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and base layer at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4. I cut a 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 piece, added a fun border, then a piece of pattern paper along with a crinkle ribbon and then layering all that down. I cut the cookie monster at 6 1/2 from the Sesame Street Season's cartridge plus the layers. I embossed the cookie monster with the tiny bubbles folder and then added some fun googly eyes. I embossed the umbrella with the dots and spots folder and then lightly sanding it for texture and then pop dotted this cutie to the card. 

I added the fun tiny doily in the right corner using My Craft Spot's tiny doilies metal die and stamped the sentiment with My Craft Spot's tiny tags stamp set. I finished it with a crinkle ribbon bow from my friend Karen and some fun My Craft Spot twine.
