Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday Challenge-Bring May FLowers

Hi Everyone! Yippee, it's Friday and.......it's my birthday! Yeah, even the big "50"! Yikes! I have a few things planned and looking forward to a fun weekend that is if we don't get the next snow storm they are talking about. We just got 6-8 inches of snow yesterday and they are calling for more Sunday and Monday, yuk!! I can't wait for spring......I am so ready for warm weather and some sunshine!!

The challenge is: 

Bring May Flowers-Use a flower on your card, layout or project
Here is some inspiration:

My card is 5 1/2 with the base layer at 5 1/4. The patter paper is cut at 5 1/8 using papers from My Minds Eye-Fine and Dandy Girl. I then layered a some strip along the bottom along with some pretty lace from Recollections.

I cut the birdcage from the April Showers cartridge at 4" and embossed it with the divine swirls folder. I distressed the edges with frayed burlap, added some jute string and a beautiful embellishment that was in my stash.
The pretty flowers are made using My Creative Times rolled flower dies and the leaves cut at 1" from the Create A Critter 2 cartridge, then all inked.

The sentiment is stamped with My Craft Spots~thank You stamp set and then layered on a My Craft Spot's ~tiny doilies metal die set. I topped it off with a rhinestone flourish and then a sheer double bow.
