Hello Everyone and happy Monday!!! I hope you all enjoyed the weekend. It sure went fast, ha? We had some strange weather....imagine that! Rain, hail, freezing rain and snow. Yuk! We ended up staying close to home which was a bummer for our shopping trip :(

The challenge this week is: Cute Critters~

The month of April is a big month of birthdays for friends and family. Some of my friends are (along with me) yeah, I know~ it stinks....are turning the big "50" in the next few weeks. So, I need to get my creative juices going and get some cards made, lol!
For today, I have made a birthday card for my little niece who is going to be 5 this week......so here's to Paige!
The card base and base layer a the Spellbinders Grand Labels Four die. The pattern paper is from DCWV~Animal Cracker paper stack. I cut the adorable little critter at 3 3/4 plus the layers from the Create A Critter 2 cartridge. I added doodling, some rosy cheeks, freckles and glossy accents to the nose. I also gave this critter a birthday hat using My Craft Spot's lacy banners metal die set to create the hat.
The same die set was used for the the fun accent piece in the upper left corner stamping the cute sentiment from the tiny tags stamp set.
I finished the card by adding a caribbean bow, some maraschino twine and a fun tag which is from the tiny tags metal die set and stamped with the tiny tags stamp set.
This is definitely one of my favorite die sets!! If you are looking for a tag die set..seriously, this is a must have! I just love all the tiny tags to choose from and the fact that Kimberly has not one but two tiny tags sentiment stamp sets is also is a win, win! It is SO fun and perfect for your projects :)

Today it is minus 14 and looks like more snow in the forecast. Come on already...I am where is this Spring the ground hog said was coming. He must have a nose like pinocchio! Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your weather - Bummer! I wish I could send you some of ours :) Although we woke up to major winds - our poor little Lola went outside to do her business and blew over (she's only 4lbs.)

ReplyDeleteUgh, snow and freezing rain. We have been having spring-like weather...temps in the high 60's, sun. I actually opened the windows for the first time yesterday. I'd send you some mild weather if I could!! I hope you are enjoying your birthday week my friend!! Happy Monday :)
