Hi Everyone! I can't believe it's August! Yikes...this year has been so crazy and hard to believe the summer is winding down. It has been pretty nice this last week...in the mid 70's-perfect for me as we have been doing some outside work the last few days. Looking forward to the weekend! Finally, a weekend to relax.....not much planned :))
I have a fun card to share with you today for the Peachy Keen Challenge 13-31:: Anything Goes challenge. I was able to sneak in my craft room for a little bit to create a card for my daughter who was wanting a card to thank her in laws for the fun weekend they had at the cabin a few weeks ago.
I have a fun card to share with you today for the Peachy Keen Challenge 13-31:: Anything Goes challenge. I was able to sneak in my craft room for a little bit to create a card for my daughter who was wanting a card to thank her in laws for the fun weekend they had at the cabin a few weeks ago.
I started with a 5 1/4 card base and then layered the base layer. I used a lot of scraps for this card as my basket is over flowing! I tore some strips of paper (Lasting Impressions) for the sand and then tore strips for the water. The water paper (which I have had a lot of people ask me about) is from Paper Pizazz called Pool Water. I then embossed the paper with the divine swirls folder-love the effect!
I cut the awesome little sun at 1 1/2 and 2" from the Create A Critter cartridge. All the other pieces are from the Peachy Keen PKSC-18 June Kit which I stamped and cut out the pieces. I love this set.....the faces are so adorable and the little critters, sand castle, boats, tree's etc are just adorable!
I sentiment is also from this amazing set! This is definitely one to have in your craft room if you are looking for summer projects..cards, layouts etc. Also, the faces are so stinken cute, ha? That alone almost sold me on this set, lol! I finished by adding some fun skittles that I won from my bloggy friend Chriss.

Okay, this is the most fabulous summer card ever!! I love the layers of the water and sand!! Faces on the palm trees - genius!! The boats are awesome!! Amazing scene you've created - I'd love to be on that beach right now!! Love, love it my friend!!

ReplyDeleteMy dear friend, this is one of the happiest cards I've seen in quite some time! :o) This beachy scene is AMAZING and will be so loved by the recipients. (She was smart to go to you! Hehe!) All of the PK cuteness is incredible and I love the billions of layers you made. The sandy beach and waves are marvelous and I absolutely love those sailboats. ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card, I love everything about it. I just wanted to pop in and say sorry for not being around much, but my health has been pretty bad lately. Just don't seam to have any energy to do much lately. I am finally seeing a specialist next week and maybe we can get to the bottom of this. I have waited for 8 months to see this doctor and each day is worse then the last. Anyway take care and thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I know I don't deserve it, LOL!
