Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi my crafty friends! I hope you are all enjoying your day! Wow, I can't believe how fast last week flew by. Can you believe it is almost October??
I had a busy week trying to get caught up at work and home after being gone.... takes a little time to get back in the swing of things, I guess. Also, little Arya ended up having ear surgery on Thursday. The Dr's finally decided to put tubes in to help eliminate all the ear infections she had been having:( So, lets hope this helps! Poor baby!
We had a wedding yesterday and I wanted to share the card that I made for the happy couple. One of my best friends daughter got married and wow, what a beautiful wedding and such a FUN time!
Congrats to Heidi & Jon!!!
I tried to incorporate some of the colors and textures she went with into the card I made.
My card base is 4 3/4 and the base layer is 4 1/2. The layer is embossed with the swirly vines folder. Isn't it pretty? I then added a fun lace border using a MS punch and then a piece of burlap ribbon that I picked up at Liz's Paper Loft for some texture.
I popped up this pretty doily using My Creative Time's Stitched Doily Die followed by a 1 3/4 and 2" circle that was cut from the George and Basics cartridge. I stamped the sentiment in the center using My Creative Time's Many Greeting stamp set.
To finish the card, I tied a pretty sheer double bow, tucked in a fun heart stick pin added a flower using My Creative Time's Flower Petal Die and added a little white brad to the center.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) 4 Crafty Chicks Bingo-I chose Flower, Brad, Die Cuts
2.) Cut it Up Challenge #28 Going in Circles
3.) DL.ART Thankful Thursday-Sept Linky Party
Thanks for stopping!
