Best Wishes!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi my crafty friends! I hope you are all enjoying your day! Wow, I can't believe how fast last week flew by. Can you believe it is almost October??
I had a busy week trying to get caught up at work and home after being gone.... takes a little time to get back in the swing of things, I guess.  Also, little Arya ended up having ear surgery on Thursday. The Dr's finally decided to put tubes in to help eliminate all the ear infections she had been having:(  So, lets hope this helps! Poor baby!

We had a wedding yesterday and I wanted to share the card that I made for the happy couple. One of my best friends daughter got married and wow, what a beautiful wedding and such a FUN time!
Congrats to Heidi & Jon!!!
I tried to incorporate some of the colors and textures she went with into the card I made.
My card base is 4 3/4 and the base layer is 4 1/2. The layer is embossed with the swirly vines folder. Isn't it pretty? I then added a fun lace border using a MS punch and then a piece of burlap ribbon that I picked up at Liz's Paper Loft for some texture.
I popped up this pretty doily using My Creative Time's Stitched Doily Die followed by a 1 3/4 and 2" circle that was cut from the George and Basics cartridge. I stamped the sentiment in the center using My Creative Time's Many Greeting stamp set.
To finish the card, I tied a pretty sheer double bow, tucked in a fun heart stick pin added a flower using My Creative Time's Flower Petal Die and added a little white brad to the center.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) 4 Crafty Chicks Bingo-I chose Flower, Brad, Die Cuts
2.) Cut it Up Challenge #28 Going in Circles
3.) DL.ART Thankful Thursday-Sept Linky Party
Thanks for stopping!

Simmered in Love

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Hello my friends! I hope your all having a great day. I was beginning to wonder if I was gonna get in my craft room this week.....trying to get back on a schedule after vacationing is tough. I feel lazy...Oh, that sounds bad!!

Well, today I have a fun idea to share with you for all the upcoming FALL parties you may go to....BBQ's, Potlucks, or even a Housewarming gift idea.
I dressed up a jar of yummy salsa that was made with veggies from a friends garden. (I made the salsa before I went on vacation) Remember, feelin' lazy today, lol! All I did today was dressed it up a bit:) Doesn't this look delicious tho??

I also wanted to join in some fun challenges that are going on right now and thought this would be perfect to pair a couple of them together that I love to play in:)
I started with wrapping some fun burlap, lace and twine around the belly of the jar that I had in my stash. I also tied on crinkle ribbon from my friend, Karen around the lid and tucked this adorable jar tag to it.
The jar is from My Craft Spot's new Jar Basics Metal Die set and Jar Basics Stamp set. Oh my gosh, this is such a fun die set.....go check it out, you will definitely want to order it!  Using scraps that I had on hand, I cut the tomatoes from the Country Life cartridge at 1 3/4 and 2 3/4. I stamped the faces with the PK-180 Erckle & Merkle stamp set and the sentiment is stamped with My Craft Spot's Bon Appetit stamp set. I tucked in a cute little spoon that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.
The top of the jar is a circle cut at 1 3/4 from the George and Basic Shapes cartridge layered on a 2 3/8 scalloped circle using a SU punch . The sentiment is again from My Craft Spot's
Bon Appetit stamp set and finished with some little gems from my stash.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) My Craft Spot Challenge #112 Pinterest Inspired (Used canning jar from the inspiration photo)

Vacation....Get Together.... and Just Because!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Hello Everyone! I am back from vacation and trying to get caught up with things now. We had a fantastic time on our trip! The weather was amazing as always. It was in anywhere from 102-110 which was hot but by the water it was perfect! Here is a picture of the resort we stayed at in Mexico:) It sits on the Sea of Cortez
This is right outside our condo, which was perfect as we spent 90% of our time in the lazy river and swim up bar, lol!
I was able to sneak in a visit with some blogger friends while I was in AZ for a few days before the trip. I met up with CarriJulie and Tammy. It was so fun to meet this fabulous gals....I hope to be able to do the same again next year..it went way to fast! Thanks again Carri for making that happen:) Your the best!
Before I left, I quickly made a little gift bag for these guys with some fun items for the upcoming holiday craft making.  I started with a fun bag from Scrappy Moms Stamps and decorated it up. These bags are adorable, love the fun dots & stripes!
I cut a small panel with pattern paper from Recollections-Jolly & Bright collection and then popped a My Craft Spot doily using the 4" Doily Metal Die
I then cut the snowman from the Winter Frolic at 3" plus the layers. I stamped the face with the PK-520 Winter Face Asst stamp set. I tied on a cute tag using My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags Metal Die and stamping the sentiment with the Tiny Tags 3 stamp set and tied it out with My Craft Spot Red String Jute
I filled it with some fun goodies...a fun embossing folder, some ribbon and bling, perfect for Christmas card making!
Also, THANKS to all of you who stopped but while I was away and leaving such sweet comments. I really appreciated it! I will be trying to stop in to visit you this week and check out your awesome projects while I was gone.
I also hope to be back sometime this week with a project to share, once I get all my ducks in row, lol!! Ugh..back to reality!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!!
Hello Everyone and Happy Friday!! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. I have a quick project to share before I take off for vacation. I may have some Internet access (I think).... but it will be limited. I will be back to check out all your projects that I have missed upon my return. Have a GREAT week!!
There were a couple challenges I wanted to enter, so I have a fall card to share with you today.
The pattern papers for this card are from the 6x6 We R Memory Keepers-Autumn Splendor collection. I love the papers in this pack!
The card base and base layer are a Quik Kutz Nesting Eyelet Squares die. I then cut a panel
4 1/4 x 6 and rounded the edges. Another smaller panel which I layered and using a Martha Stewart punch giving it the pretty flower border.
I layered the pattern pumpkins that I cut at 2, 2 1/4 and 2 1/2" from the Simply Charmed cartridge plus the layers. I inked the edges with TH frayed burlap and added natural and brown jute string from My Craft Spot.  I also embossed the small leaves with the tiny bubbles folder.
I finished by adding a tag using the My Craft Spot's tiny tags die and stamping the sentiment with the tiny tags 3 stamp set. I tied on a spring moss double bow and added a button with brown jute string. I also added some fun skittles that I purchased from my buddy, Carri.

Thank You gift set!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hello Everyone! I hope your having a great week so far! I would imagine most of you who have children have all started school by now and trying to get into a routine again.
I don't have any kids in school anymore but I do have a little Granddaughter who goes to daycare at a school. I am very fortunate I get to pick her up each day in the afternoon and have some quality time together...which I love!!
Here is a very quick project I would like to share today~hope you like it!!

One of my blogger friends, Jessica from Chick-n-Scrap found this free printable file from Jennifer McGuire HERE and shared it on her blog a while ago. I went to check it out because it was such a fun set and wanted to make a few for Teacher gifts for little Arya to give out to her Teachers.
All I had to do was print out the 5 note cards, color in the apple with copics and then color & cut the extra apple to pop on for a little dimension. I stamped the adorable face with PKSC-13 Jan kit and the sentiment is stamped with the PKSC-18 June kit.
I added an envelope to each card and placed them in this cello bag. I wrapped some fun burlap ribbon and natural twine around it and tied a bow.
I cut this cute little book worm at 2" from the Create A Critter cartridge, stamped the cute face with the Peachy Keen Erkle & Merkle stamp set and then popped him on. Cute ha?
It is a quick project and can easily be mass produced for gift giving!
I am entering this in the following challenges:

I stamped the sentiment with My Craft Spot's Happy Thanksgiving stamp set and then embossed with the cuttlebug leafy branch folder.
The pretty flower is cut at 1 3/4 from the Flower Shoppe cartridge along with the layers. I also cut an extra leaf at 1 1/2 to layer with the other one. The adorable tag is My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags metal die and the sentiment is stamped with the Tiny Tags stamp set.
