Hello Everyone and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!!
Hello my friends! I hope your all having a great day. I was beginning to wonder if I was gonna get in my craft room this week.....trying to get back on a schedule after vacationing is tough. I feel lazy...Oh, that sounds bad!!
Well, today I have a fun idea to share with you for all the upcoming FALL parties you may go to....BBQ's, Potlucks, or even a Housewarming gift idea.
I dressed up a jar of yummy salsa that was made with veggies from a friends garden. (I made the salsa before I went on vacation) Remember, feelin' lazy today, lol! All I did today was dressed it up a bit:) Doesn't this look delicious tho??
I also wanted to join in some fun challenges that are going on right now and thought this would be perfect to pair a couple of them together that I love to play in:)
I started with wrapping some fun burlap, lace and twine around the belly of the jar that I had in my stash. I also tied on crinkle ribbon from my friend, Karen around the lid and tucked this adorable jar tag to it.
The jar is from My Craft Spot's new Jar Basics Metal Die set and Jar Basics Stamp set. Oh my gosh, this is such a fun die set.....go check it out, you will definitely want to order it! Using scraps that I had on hand, I cut the tomatoes from the Country Life cartridge at 1 3/4 and 2 3/4. I stamped the faces with the PK-180 Erckle & Merkle stamp set and the sentiment is stamped with My Craft Spot's Bon Appetit stamp set. I tucked in a cute little spoon that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.
The top of the jar is a circle cut at 1 3/4 from the George and Basic Shapes cartridge layered on a 2 3/8 scalloped circle using a SU punch . The sentiment is again from My Craft Spot's
Bon Appetit stamp set and finished with some little gems from my stash.

ReplyDeleteMy dear friend, I apologize for the slight delay! I am so happy to be able to leave you some well-deserved bloggie love tonight. :o) I love every inch of this project, Sherrie! You've used those MCS goodies to perfection! The apples are full of sweet personality, the pattern is gorgeous, and I cannot get over that precious spoon! :o) The textural wrap would always be lovely, but especially so during this seasonal shift... extra texture just feels so warm and cozy. :o) You have completely inspired me to make something along these lines with the homemade slow-cooker apple butter I'll be making! Thanks for the wonderful idea. :o) I hope you're having a sparkly night!
