All of the new stamps and metal die sets will be available to purchase on Sat, Nov 2nd!
Today we are showing you sneak peeks of the Ornate Labels Christmas Stamp Set:)
This is an awesome stamp set that coordinates with the Ornate Labels Metal Die set from the last release.
Here is my project:
I saw these cute burlap sacks at Hobby Lobby and knew I had to do something with them! I have not stamped on burlap before so this was a bit of an "experiment". I used StazOn ink and I think I will try a Fabric ink next time so maybe it's a bit more crisp. Anyone out there with advise or type of ink that has worked for you on burlap?
I cut a piece of 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 burlap and stamped the sentiment from the new Ornate Labels Christmas stamp set using SU Craft ink and then heat set it a bit. I inked around the edges with SU real red.
I then hot glued the burlap piece, some lace trim and beads that I had in my stash to the bag. I tied vintage cherry twine to the felt flower and attached it to the burlap bag.
I filled it with little lotion, hand sanitizer and some chocolate. I tied a cranberry bow with crinkle ribbon, some mesh ribbon and a tag that was cut at 1" from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I stamped the sentiment with Ornate Labels Christmas Stamp Set and then embossed with the divine swirls folder. Overall, I think it turned out pretty cute.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think:)
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Don't forget to stop over at My Craft Spot for more sneak peeks, awesome inspiration by the Design Team and for a chance at today's giveaway:)

Your sacks looks festive! I like that you tried a different texture (although I have not tried it). Will heat embossing have a different affect?

ReplyDeleteSee.... I knew I wanted this die set too! Dang it! LOL I LOVE how you stamped on the burlap! Very cool Sherrie! I know it's not as crisp as you would like but I think it adds Character just the way it is! You can mail it to me if you like! LOL :o)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I have never tried to stamp on burlap, but I am loving the idea! I kinda like the "rustic" look you achieved here. And, I love all the pretty embellishments you added!
ReplyDeleteMy dear friend, this project is exquisite! I had never seen burlap sacks... how fantastic! You've used them so well here. The stamping looks incredible as is (and I do adore that stamp) and I love that you trimmed it in red. It makes me think of it as glowing with Christmas love. (Is that too sappy?) :o) The abundance of accents atop the lovely lace is beautiful and the No Peeking is adorable on top. :o) Beautifully done as always, Sherrie! I can't wait for tomorrow's sneaker peeker! :o)
