Merry Christmas!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hello Everyone and Merry Christmas!!!
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas Day! We had a wonderful day with our kids and their families! I cooked a turkey along with all the fixings which everyone loved! It seems like all we did was eat and eat and eat!
It was SO fun to share Christmas with little Arya~she is 2 and at such a fun age! She enjoyed all the treats (imagine that), the opening of gifts and later was watching a little Elmo program on the Ipad and fell asleep with it in her lap, finger on the screen, totally zonked! Too funny!

I am sorry I haven't been on my blog much lately but with the holidays, I had been a bit consumed with all I needed to get done :( I don't now about you but it seemed like once Thanksgiving was here and gone, I felt like I have been on a roller coaster ever since, yikes!! Didn't it seem to come rather quick OR is just me?? I hope to be back in my craft room and in full swing after the
New Year :)
Until then, I wanted to share with you a really quick and fun Christmas ornament that I made for little Arya for her Christmas tree.
It went together really easy and would be a great project to mass produce :)
I purchased the clear ornaments at the local craft store and fired up my Cameo. I used a font that I downloaded onto my silhouette for the name and cut it in white vinyl. I then cut 1/4 and 1/2" size circles from the George cartridge using lime green and pink vinyl which are new colors for me and cut that on my cricut.
I topped it off with fun tulle, snow white crinkle ribbon and cotton candy twine from My Craft Spot and a fun polka dot button from my stash. Cute, ha? I also have the stand to display it if they want to set it on a shelf or somewhere other than on the tree.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you a Happy New Year!!
Be back soon :)

  4. Super cute Sherrie~ At least she can put it back up on the tree for next Christmas, a little memorabilia that she can have for years to come....
Glad you Christmas was green & bright, it was fun back here on the islands, we also had a feast of a meal to consume too!....hehe

  5. That ornament is absolutely adorable. All the "kids" in my family are young adults so no little ones here. But we still had a blast with them :).

Do you mind sharing the font you used ... It's so pretty !!

  7. Merry Christmas, Sherrie! I'm so happy you had a lovely celebration with your family! And yes, the holiday season flew by... less than four weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas is far from ideal! I hope the calendar is nicer to us next year. ;) Your ornament for little Arya is gorgeous! What a fun project! The font is beautiful and I love the whimsical dots, floofy feathers, and sweet bow. She will treasure this every year, my dear friend, which is one of the loveliest aspects of it! Wonderfully crafted! :o) Have a happy night, Sherrie!

    Hugs and blessings!

  16. Oh my gosh - what girly sweetness! Love the pink and green and the embellishments are fabulous! I think we all need a "creative" break every once in awhile and time to just step back and enjoy what is going on around us. My grands all left this afternoon, headed back home and I KNOW I need a couple of days to recover...lol! I look forward to a bit of a break, then back to crafting, hopefully refreshed and ready to roll. Happy New Year to you my sweet friend ♥
