Friendship Warms the Heart

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hello Everyone!
I hope you are having a great weekend and staying warm! I am so jealous of those of you who live in the southern sunny states right now as we are still blustery cold and dealing with frigid temps. I don't mind the snow, just not diggin' this cold stuff! I swear the older I get, the more I want to go south for the winters, lol!
We are currently under a Winter Weather Advisory and for tomorrow only a high of -10 with windshields between 30-40 below :( Ugh! I am thinking we are just having a rough, cold winter for only to have a beautiful spring....right???? Let's hope!

I have a fun card to share with you today using My Craft Spot's Stamping All Around Christmas stamp set.

I started with making my card base and base layer from the Nesting Eyelet Squares die. The papers are all from the My Minds Eye-Lost & Found Christmas collection.
I cut another base layer with coordinating papers with the die, cut it in half and adhered that in place. I also created a fun border with My Craft Spot's Fancy Edges metal die, layered another panel and wrapped pretty sheer ribbon and tied on a double bow. I added a fun little sparkly gem to the center.

. The mitten are cut at 2 1/2 from the Jolly Holiday cartridge. I inked around the edges giving them a distress look. I wrapped a little Burgundy Jute String and tied on a bow and added a few little gems.
The tag is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies metal die and I stamped the sentiment with the Stamping All Around Christmas stamp set.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Pause Dream Enjoy Linky Party #2 Friendship Cards
2.) Pumpkin Spice Challenge #56 Something Shiny
3.) 3Girl JAM Jan~Anything Goes w/ribbon
4.) 2 Creative Chicks Challenge # 10 Anything Goes
5.) DL.ART Linky Party~ Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping!

  2. This is so gorgeous, Sherrie!! I love those mittens!! The shape is so fun!! And what beautiful papers!! This is just fabulous my friend, as always!!

Seriously, I am so over this frigid weather. I know I shouldn't complain...I think we have it bad at -9 with wind chills in the -20's but you have it so much worse. We actually hit 45 (above) today - I felt like running outside in my shorts and flip flops!! But then the temps are supposed to plummet to the negatives tonight. I am with you heading south for the winter ;) I hope you have a wonderful evening!! Big hugs :)

I know we aren't frigid down here by your standards, but by ours, we are!! We are dipping down low again next week. A pattern is happening here. Really low during the week and a tad warmer on the weekends. Hope it stays that way. And we would so welcome ya'll here in Alabama if ya want to come south for the winter!!! :)

  12. OMG, what frigid temps!! Being a born and raised Southern Californian, I cannot even imagine how you can live in such cold temps!! We are actually have the opposite problems, we have had no rain therefore no snow in our mountains, so we are in the middle of a drought!! 70 - 80 degrees in January is just not right!!

Your card is so cute!! love the bling and your beautiful bow :) Stay warm my friend :)
