Congratulations GRAD

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a fabulous week so far and looking forward to a beautiful weekend! We have had some gorgeous, sunny days this week and I hope it continues into the weekend :)
I am hoping in a few weeks to get back to crafting more. It has been a busy summer so far and leaving me with not much time to craft right now.  Hang in there with me though....I will be back soon!

Today I have a quick Graduation card to share with you. I have a friend that asked me to make a few graduation cards for her. She wanted simple grad cards~no frills and not girly. Wow, that was a little tough for me, yikes! Hope she likes them, lol!
So, here is what I came up with:

I jumped online to the Silhouette store to find a simple and quick card to make since I was short on time to. They went together super fast which was perfect~I used file #58781.
I stamped the sentiment inside using My Creative Time's Here's lookin' at you stamp set. I knew she was including a gift card so I grabbed My Creative Time's Gift Card pocket die and adhered it in place~perfect to hold her gift card  right in place :) I finished by adding some sequins from My Craft Spot~couldn't resist!
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #212 Class of 2014
2.) Just B Creative Crazy May Linky-Anything Goes
3.) Love Rubberstamps Challenge #105 Add Doodling
4.) SVG Attic Challenge- May Anything Goes Contest

Sending You Happy Little Thoughts

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone and Happy Wednesday!
I hope you are having a great week so far! Wow, the weather has finally been pretty nice here the past few days and suppose to hit the mid 70's by the weekend :)  Sounds perfect for the Memorial Day weekend! So, what are all my crafty friends up to this weekend???
We have a lot planned for the weekend~a little work around the yard, a get together with some friends on Sunday and a family BBQ on Monday :) we hope to squeeze a little time to work on our remodeling of bathroom, sauna area to! Yikes, I'm tired already, lol!

I have seen a lot of these box cards lately and just had to make one and share it with you today.  I found this file at the Silhouette store and cut it on my Cameo. I layered a panel on each flap which I included a small border using a Martha Stewart punch followed by a pattern piece. I'm not sure if you can see but I ran those pieces and a few others through the Zutter DIA that I was so enabled by Lisa to get.
I can't wait to use it more :)
The flowers are cut at 2 1/4 and 3 1/4 from the Art Philosophy cartridge along with the leaves at 1/2". I also use My Craft Spots Rolled Roses Flower metal die for some of the flowers as well. I added small little skittles to the center of the flowers from my friend,  Carri . The pattern papers I used are from EP~Sweet Girl Lori Whitlock collection.
The little bumble bee's are cut at 1 1/2 from the Create A Critter cartridge~there so cute! I stamped the sentiments using My Craft Spot's Butterfly Kisses stamp set. There are so many fun sentiments on this stamp set~love it!
If you haven't tried one of the box cards....you should!
They are so much fun~you will be hooked! If you don't have a cameo, that's okay.......there are a lot of tutorial for the instructions to make one without a cutting machine :)
Come on, give it a try!
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Pause Dream Enjoy Linky Party #10 Gone Buggy
2.) Pumpkin Spice Challenge #72 Thinking of you

Welcome Baby

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Good Morning Everyone!
I hope you are all having a great week so far! Can you believe it is mid May already?  It has been pretty cool here so far this spring...we have only been in the 50's :( Really wanting some of that warm 90 degree weather that some of you are having, lol!
I have a quick little baby card to share with you using an adorable cut file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons called Safari Love that I cut on my Silhouette.
Lisa is also having a fun challenge going on and thought I would jump in a play along in the girly challenge since I am in need of a girl baby card :) Yeah!
I started with a red card base and then a base layer of white. I followed with a panel cut at 4 1/4 x 4 1/2 which I embossed with the SU Petals of Plenty folder for dimension. The frame is a Spellbinders Floral Oval which I adhered in place and added some fun gems to.
I popped this adorable little giraffe to the center with foam tape and added a little doodling. The sentiment in the center of the balloon is My Craft Spot's Bundle of Joy stamp set. The sentiment along the bottom is stamped from the Banner Sentiment stamp set.
I finished by adding a few fun sequins and a fun striped bow using ribbon from my stash.

For my sweet friend!

Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone!
Wow, I can't believe it's been a week since I posted last! We have had a lot going on the last few weeks which has kept me from crafting :( We had a funeral in our family, a funeral of a close friend along with some setbacks for my son and fiance's upcoming wedding. The ballroom for the reception ran into some issues which left us up in the air whether they could hold the event there or not, ugh!  So, we have been on pins and needles!
We have finally received word last week it will take place there now (thank goodness)  I mean,  really... where do you find a place to hold 400 people in 3 months? We also had sad news that the photographer passed away which was a good friend of my daughters. So, it's been a bit of a bumpy road to say the least~
We are looking forward to happier days ahead :)

Here is a quick project I wanted to share with you today.
Hope you enjoy!
I wanted to give my sweet friend of mine a little something for Mother's Day and thought this would be fun since she loves purses! I found this super cute wallet/purse at the Silhouette store #45493. Cute idea to use as a gift card holder or fill it with cash, ha?
After cutting out the pieces I added texture to the outer piece using the Papaya Halves embossing folder. I added some fun gem flowers and a fun button I had in my stash.
The inside pattern paper is from We R Memory Keepers-Simply Spring collection. I also added a small velcro piece so it would close nicely.
I added a handle and tied on a bow with snow white crinkle ribbon. The tag is created with the Tiny Tags metal die and stamped with the Tiny Tags stamp set  all from My Craft Spot.  I also tied on a bow with Caribbean twine and added a sparkly rhinestone from my stash.
So, what do you think?
I definitely will be making more of these in the future!
So, is anyone else having issues with Feedburner not delivering your email subscriptions? Any solutions other than switching to a new delivery service?? I would love to hear your thoughts/advise :)

I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Little Scrap Pieces Show it off Saturday
2.) Decorate to Celebrate Challenge #74 Mother's Day or Birthday
3.) Just B Creative Crazy May Linky Party
4.) DL.ART Challenge #132 Anything Feminine
5.) Silhouette Challenges Challenge #13 Gift Bag

My Craft Spot's Challenge #136 Mother's Day/Spring

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Good Morning!
It's time for our new weekly challenge at My Craft Spot and the challenge this week is:
Happy Mother's Day/Spring!

I have to admit that I am sad this will be my last DT project for My Craft Spot:(  I have had so much fun being on the team and I want to say "Thank You" to Kimberly for the opportunity she gave me.  She has been so amazing to work with and the DT members are the best! I will miss you all at My Craft Spot and hope to join you again sometime in the near future.
With summer approaching and my son's wedding around the corner, I will be kept busy. I hope to get back in the swing of things once things settle a bit.

Here is my project:
I have a Mother's Day card to share with you that I made for my wonderful Mother. I know she will probably see this in advance since she visits my blog....
So, hope you like it Mom!
I started with a yellow card base and using a Martha Stewart punch added a fun border to the base of the card. The base layer is papers from Echo Parks-Sweet Girl collection.  I followed with a panel of polka dot pattern paper from this pack and then topped it with a pretty paper doily. I then cut another smaller panel and stamped Happy Mother's day with My Craft Spot's
Jar Full of Flowers stamp set.
The center is a Tiny Doilies 2 which I cut two of them. I used foam tape and layered them on top of each other for dimension. I stamped the sentiment in the center of the doily with the Simply Sentiments stamp set.
The butterflies are also from the Jar Full of  Flowers stamp set which I stamped, fussy cut around, added sparkly ice glitter to each of them and adhered them in place.
The flower cluster is created with an assortment of flowers from Recollections. The Lovely Tendril metal die was used for the leaves. I also cut a few leaves using vellum at 3/4 from the Art Philosophy cartridge and tucked them in the cluster as well. (Thanks Lisa for the idea)
I finished it off by tying a fun sheer double bow and adding a pretty little embellishment in the center of the bow.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Cut it Up Challenge #44 Mother's Day
2.) Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge #9 Flowers
3.) Paper Issue's Mum's the word
4.) Little Scrap Pieces Show it off Saturday

I added cute little googly eyes that I had in my stash.  The monkey is holding a "5" which is stamped from the Chunky Alphabet stamp set and then fussy cut out and adhered down.
The washi tapes are cut and two of them placed in the left corner and one under the monkey. I inked the edges with memento rich cocoa ink and stamped the sentiments with the Banner SentimentsBirthday Wishes and the cupcake with the Chunky Alphabet. Mini Release- Rolled Flower dies

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone and Welcome to My Craft Spot's Mini Release Party!
This is day 1 of our 2 day sneak peeks of these 2 amazing new die sets....they are  even ready available and ready for purchase today.
How cool is that?

Today we are giving you a sneak peek of the new Rolled Flower metal dies...You are gonna love them! I can see a lot of future projects using these!
Here is a peek at what I created using these fun dies :)
I have a friend feeling a little down these days and thought a little chocolate might make her feel better: )
I found this fun gift box file at Pretty Papers Pretty Ribbons and cut it on my cameo.
I inked the edges with TH spiced marmalade. The center has an opening/window which I added acetate to the inside and filled it with yummy chocolates.
I cut a pretty vellum doily using the Tiny Doilies 2 metal die and then layered these beautiful flowers on top. The flowers are created with the new Rolled Flower metal dies which I adhered them onto the vellum doily.
The leaves are from the Lovely Tendril metal die which was from Love Rubberstamps
store that I won from playing in their challenge. I tucked the leaves in place and adhered
them down.
I finished with a tag using the Tiny Tags metal die and stamped the sentiment with the
Tiny Tags 3 stamp set. I tied it on with mandarin twine and tied a bow.
Here are the awesome dies:
