Happy 4th!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone!
Happy Monday~I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Can you believe it's the last day in June? Wow, where did the month go? Crazy!
Today, I have a fun card to share with you that I made for Arya's daycare Teacher. I will be sharing a treat box tomorrow that she will also be giving her along with this card before she leaves on her 4th of July break.
I was excited to find a little time to not only get in my craft room to make a gift for her Teacher but to play along in some of the challenges as well.
I used a lot of My Creative Time stamps/dies on this project:
I started with a A2 card base, using papers from Lasting Impressions. I cut the center panel in white and shadowed a piece with dark blue. I added a fun border using the Fun Stitched Edges metal die. I cut the circles using the Scallop & Stitched Circle die and adhered them in place. The stars are cut at 3/4" from the Art Philosophy cartridge.
The 4th of July is from the My Little Firecracker stamp set onto a square that was cut using the Square Stitched Goody metal die. I added foam dots for dimension and then tied on a fun twine bow. I finished with placing homemade enamel dots in the corner from my friend Carri.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge #171 I Vow To Thee My Country
2.) Paper Issues In the Navy

Congrats

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone!
I hope your all having a Sunday!
Today I  have a quick and simple card to share with you that I made to go along with the bridal shower present  for my future Daughter In Law. The bridal shower that the bridesmaids put on for Amber yesterday was really nice and she had a wonderful turn out... I think everyone had a good time :)
The shape of my card is created with a Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight for the base and base layer. The papers are from The Paper Studio-Blanc Boutique collection....such pretty papers in this paper stack!
I cut the heart at 3 1/2 from the Art Philosophy cartridge and adhered it down with foam adhesives for dimension. The foliage is from the Lovely Tendril metal die which I adhered down and then layered a sheer double bow and finished with a pretty flower to the center.
The congrats is from My Craft Spot's Big Words metal die. I used the Wink of Stella glitter brush on the foliage and congrats and wow, it's so pretty! It gives it just the right amount of sparkle!! I finished with some rhinestones that I had in my stash.
We did have some sad news later in the day that Amber's Grandma had passed away. She had a tough time trying to enjoy her day and at the same time missing her Grandma. I felt so bad for her :(
My heart hurts for her and her family as they go through this difficult time.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

2.)DL.ART June Linky Party

A Little Something just for you!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hello my crafty friends!
I hope your having a fantastic day! I have another little project to share with you today before we take off for the bridal shower this morning. I paired up some Peachy Keen and My Creative Time's stamps/dies to create a cute tag for some gift bags.
I was asked if I would dress up 6 gift bags for the bridesmaids to put the gifts in for the prizes at the bridal shower. I was glad to help!
Again, keeping the chevron pattern going and using up the scraps from the banner...win, win!
What do you think??
I decided to keep a little of the chevron patterns going.  I also had some scraps left over from the party favors and banner which is perfect :) The tag is cut using My Creative Time's Tags metal die. I fussy cut the black layer around each one for more of a pop.
The adorable hearts are from the Stitched Sweethearts & XOXO metal die set which I stamped the sweet faces using PK113 Cherub Faces and the PK1357 Sweet On You Face Asst Sweet On You Face Asst.
I added a small prima flower to one heart and a hat to the other. The hat is from the Here's Lookin' at You stamp/die set. I embossed the hat with the spot &dots folder and added a little doodling for a fun look.
The sentiment along the bottom is stamped with the Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments stamp set. I finished with tying the tag on with a pretty satin double bow.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) DL.ART June Linky Party
2.) Simon Says Work it Wednesday
3.) Pause Dream Enjoy Linky Party #13 Many Layers

The Bride to Be Banner

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone!
Happy Friday all! I hope you are all having awesome weather and enjoying the summer so far :) We had a wonderful time visiting yesterday with some family members who are home from California. A great time by all!!
Today I am popping in real quick to share a banner I made for the bridal shower this weekend :) I was asked to take care of some of the decorations so I thought it would be fun to make a banner for in front of the bridesmaids table. Hope she likes it!
I started with Paper Accents chipboard pieces and covered them with Echo Park-Grey Flourish pattern paper. This is double sided paper... one side it is flourishes, the other side chevrons. The bride to be likes the chevron pattern so that's what I went with.
I followed with a large rosette that is from a Silhouette cut file and cut on my Cameo. Super easy to cut out and put together. I then cut the grey layer at 3 1/2 from the Elegant Edges cartridge and followed with a 3" circle which was embossed with the SU chevron embossing folder.

The letters are all cut at 2 3/4 from the Art Philosophy cartridge. The burlap and satin flowers are from Hobby Lobby. All the pieces are adhered down and then connected using a heavy jute cord.
I have a busy day tomorrow with the shower but I will try and pop in to share another project that was made for the bridal shower in the morning :)
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Pause Dream Enjoy Linky Party-Many Layers
2.) DL.ART Linky Party June

Party Favors~Just for You!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hello Everyone!
I hope your all having  a great week! Can you believe it is almost July? Yikes, the summer is flying by so fast, don't you think? We had some relatives fly in this week from California on my hubby's side and his cousins are having a bbq/picnic get together tomorrow. So, we are taking the day off to go visit with them....yeah!! I am also hoping to squeeze in a small trip to the Mall of America too :)
Can't wait-sounds like a fun day!

Today, I am sharing the party favors that were made for the upcoming bridal shower this Saturday. Amber (my future DIL) really likes chevron patterns. So, I used the chevron pattern papers from Echo Parks~Grey and Black Flourishes collection to make these cute pillow pouches.
The pillow pouch file is from the Silhouette store that I cut on my cameo. I cut out about 60 of them...put them together which went together quickly. I added a satin bow, pretty flower and a small tag to
 each of them.
The tag is My Craft Spot's Tiny Doilies 2 metal die and the sentiment is stamped with the Tiny Tags 2 stamp set.  I finished by filling each of them with an assortment of yummy Hershey milk & dark chocolate kisses :)
I also had 75 water bottle wraps made with one of their engagement pictures printed on it. We removed all the labels on the bottles and then replaced it with these I had printed...cute, ha?
Have a great day :)

Sweet Treats

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone!
I hope your are enjoying your weekend! I took a quick spin out of town to a craft fair with a friend yesterday and had a blast! The weather was absolutely gorgeous! I still managed to get back early enough to knock out a few things on my list, yeah! Today, I am finishing up on the bridal shower favors and I should be all set for the shower on Saturday! Phew, there sure has been plenty to do lately!

I even took some time today to get in my craft room which I am really missing to whip up a little treat for a co-worker that has a birthday next week! I used a lot of fun products from My Craft Spot, even a few new ones from the latest release!
I used a file from the Silhouette store for the cute bucket purse and cut it on my cameo. I cut it out using papers from DCWV La Creme paper pack. I embossed the border along the bottom and added pretty little butterflies which are stamped with My Craft Spot's Jar Full of Flowers, fussy cut and adhered in place. I used my Wink of Stella glitter pen to the butterflies for a pretty shimmery look.
I tied on a pretty bow using midnight black and vintage vanilla crinkle ribbon and finished with a tag. The tag is the Tiny Tags metal die and the sentiment is stamped with the Tiny Tags 3 stamp set. I finished by filling it with an asst of snickers and milky way candy bars :) Yum!
I also made a coordinating card to go along with the purse. The card base and base layers are the Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight. I followed that with a label which is cut at 2" from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I stamped the sentiment with the new Build a Birthday stamp set and added a few butterflies to the card as well. The flower is cut at 3" and leaves at 1" all from the Flower Shoppe cartridge. I added a pretty little flower border using the new Fancy Edges 2 metal die and added pretty rhinestones to the center.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) My Craft Spot Challenge #140 Fancy Edges

Happiness is not a Destination~It's a way of Life

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone and Happy Wednesday!
I hope you are having a wonderful day and enjoying your summer so far!! We have been having some beautiful, sunny days here in Mn.
I love this time of year even though it's seems to be moving a long so fast!

I wanted to update you a bit as things are moving along great with bridal shower and wedding projects. I am keeping real busy as to why I have not had a lot of spare time for blogging :(  The shower for my future daughter in law is next weekend and after that I will share some of the projects I have been
working on. I will also have some free time to come visit you to...yeah!

I have a fun card to share with you today using a sentiment from My Craft Spot's Chalkboard Sentiments stamp set.  The water coloring techniques seems really big right now and it's fun to play around with the different colors to achieve a interesting background look.
So, I grabbed my inks and here is what I came up with :

I started with a pretty blue card base and followed with a green base layer. I edges were distressed with the Zutter DIA....love this machine! SO easy to use and what a fun look :)
The next layer is water color paper which was cut at 3 3/4 x 5. I cut an scalloped image from the Elegant Edges at 3 1/2 and temporarily adhere it down so it wouldn't move to use as a template. I used a water brush and distressed ink to make my background within that scallop. The colors I used were TH Peeled Paint, Weathered Wood and Victorian Velvet.
After it dried, I removed the temporary template and then stamped the sentiment on top of it. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Chalkboard Sentiments stamp set. I sprayed a mist of Gold Glow Smooch Spritz for a shimmery look. It's hard to see in the photo but it really is pretty :) After it dried, I finished by adding a few sequins and some black jute string also from My Craft Spot.
So, what do you think?
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Sweet Stamps Blog Challenge #174 Anything Goes
2.) Craftin Desert Diva's Linky Party-Favorite Color ( one of my fav's is blue)

You're so sweet

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Good Afternoon my crafty friends and Happy Father's Day to all those amazing Dads out there!!!I hope you are all enjoying the weekend!

I have been super busy trying to get bridal shower/wedding projects done for my sons upcoming wedding. I haven't had a lot of free time for blogging and crafting. So, hang with me as I take some time off. I promise I will be back at it as soon as I am done with these other projects! I miss you all....I will try and stop in when I can for visits and to check out your amazing projects.: )

I managed a little free time in my craft room today...yeah!!! I would love to share a wall hanging that I made for my daughter. I thought it would be cute to hang in her office :)
I included this collage photo of her little munchkin....quick and simple! They are random pictures of her from the time she was born to now.....I can't believe it by Arya is 2 1/2 already!!
Where does the time go?!?
I just love the middle picture of her! I happen to get up from my computer to go get something and when I returned she was in my seat wearing my glasses saying...me turn on the puter, Nanny! Oh my gosh, I about died laughing! I am SURE she couldn't even see out of my glasses, lol?!?
I just love having her around!!

I started with a MDF coaster and painted it with black craft paint. I cut the paper to the appropriate size to fit the coaster. The pattern paper is from Paper Studio. I then cut a small mat for the photo to sit on, rounded the corners and adhered it in place.
I cut a small piece of washi tape and ran it along the bottom of the photo. The chipboard hearts are from Michael's which I inked up and added a twine bow along with a fun little striped button. The flower is cut at 3" from the Art Philosophy cartridge and the center piece is from the floral department at Hobby Lobby.

I tied on some fun striped ribbon that was in my stash to the frame and added a cute tag. The tag is created using My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags metal die and Tiny Tags stamp set.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Krafty Girls Challenge #24 Face Off
2.) Love Rubberstamps Challenge #107 Clean & Simple

Friends Forever!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone!
Happy Monday~I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!! It was gorgeous pretty much all weekend here...... in the mid 70's! It was awesome :) I spent a lot of time outside getting some projects done while my hubby worked on packing and getting ready for his annual fishing trip to Canada.
I was able to get the deck stained and now working on the gazebo. Hopefully, as long as the weather continues to cooperate.... I should be done by tomorrow! Yippee!

I was even able to squeeze in a little craft time in over the weekend, yeah! I have a fun little birthday card to share with you! I picked up another cute file from
Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons called Birthday Panda
It's so stinken cute, ha???
I started with a black card base, followed by a base layer panel cut at 4  4 1/2. The background chevron paper is from MME. I also added an additional black panel near the bottom and with a Martha Stewart punch added a fun border. I heat embossed the sentiment with My Creative Time's~Treasured Moments stamp set.
The adorable panda was cut at 3.98 plus the layers and popped this cutie up on a yellow panel which I embossed with the dots folder. I used the negative side and with pop dots adhered the panda in place. I needed a little more pop so I cut another panel of blue just a little bit larger then the yellow.  I cut a balloons at 2 1/4 and 2 1/2 from the Birthday Bash cartridge. I embossed them with the SU chevron folder and tied on some fun Caribbean twine and tied a bow.
For the inside of my card, I used My Craft Spot's Big Words metal die set for the Happy Birthday and the  fun little enamel dots in the corner are from my sweet friend Carri :) I finished with a red crinkle ribbon bow using ribbon from my sweet friend, Karen at Little Scrap Pieces and a fun chevron button I picked up at Michael's.
