Just for You

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone!
Wow, can you believe we are at the end of August already? Yikes! The summer has flown by so fast ~I can't believe it's time for school to begin again!

I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend and have a lot of fun things planned. I am definitely going to take all my spare time to play catch up AND get in my craft room...I am so ready for that!! Yippee!

A few weeks ago Arya and I dropped off a few goody baskets at the local coffee shop I go to for some of the girls who are leaving for college. Well, I recently was asked by the owner  if I would be kind enough to make a few back to school cards for her that she could also give to the girls leaving.
Of course, I said I would be happy to:)
I went right to the Silhouette Store and found this adorable shaped card and cut it on my cameo. I used papers from Echo Park-Dots & Stripes for the apple and the rest from my scrap bin:)
The little worm is cut at 2 1/2 from an oldie but goody cartridge~Create A Critter. I stamped the face with PK1357 Sweet on You stamp set. I colored in the eyes, used glossy assents, added rosy cheeks and freckles. Cute, ha?
The tag is inked with TH frayed burlap and the sentiment and flourish is stamped with My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags 2 stamp set.
I made a smaller layer of the apple for the inside and stamped the sentiment with My Craft Spot's Banner Sentiments. I finished with tying on a fun bow using ribbon from my stash.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) My Craft Spot Challenge #150 Back to School
2.) Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #225 Back to School
3.) Craftin Desert Diva's Challenge~Back to School
4.) Little Scrap Pieces Show it off Saturday
5.) Double Click Connection Use Fruit

I do!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone!
I have a pretty wedding card to share with you today. I am sure you heard me mention that my son is getting married. Well, the time has come and the big day is Saturday!  We are so excited and happy for him and his bride to be and can't wait to share their special day with them!
Here is the card I made for the sweet couple:
I started with a Spellbinders Grand Large Label for my card base and layer. I followed with a Decorative Labels Eight and then a Floral Oval.
The adorable little couple is from Jaded Blossoms~The Perfect Match stamp set. I colored them with copics, fussy cut them out and with pop dots adhered them on a Spellbinders Classic Oval which I embossed with the sizzix flower folder. I also added a few rhinestones for a little bling :)
The cute tag is cut at 1 1/4 from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I stamped the sentiment again using The Perfect Match stamp set and tied it on to a sheer double bow to finish the card. I also made another card for my niece who is getting married next month.
Hope you are inspired!

A little something just for you!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hello my crafty friends!
I bet you are thinking...Wow, another post from Sherrie? Yup, had a little time this morning so instead of scrubbing my floors... I went to my craft room...yeah! The floors can wait, right?

I will probably missing some next week as my son's wedding is next Saturday and there are a lot of last minute things to do along with company coming. So, I will be returning as soon as things settle a bit. Can't wait to get back to crafting/blogging on a regular basis ;)

Today I have a quick but fun little gift idea to share with you. I frequent a local coffee shop and there are a few girls that will be leaving next week to go back to school. So, I thought Arya and I would put together a little gift for each of them with snacks and back to school supplies since they are ALWAYS so
kind to little Arya and I when we stop in :)
I filled a container with some yummy goodies that Arya and I picked out and then put it all into a cello bag and made a cute little tag for each of them. Of course, I had to go back and make one for Arya. She just couldn't figure out why there wasn't one for her! A few tears.....and.... well, we just couldn't have that now, can we?
The adorable book worm is a file from Miss Kate Cuttables in the Silhouette Store. I cut the tag at 3 3/4 from the Art Philosophy cartridge and popped this adorable little book worm on it. I stamped the sentiment
using My Creative Time's Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments stamp set. I finished by tying them with a big bow using ribbon from my stash.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge #16 Kids Theme
2.) Double Click Challenge #2 Back to School

Something Wonderful is about to Happen

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone!
I hope your having a great week so far :)
For those of you that follow me know that this summer has been filled with weddings. I have a niece on my side~that just got married last weekend. My son's is next weekend.........yeah! I still have another niece and nephew on my hubbies side coming up next month. Anyway, that is what has been limiting me to crafting & blogging:( Oh', I've been crafting BUT it's been for bridal showers, wedding decorations, party favors, invites, etc. I will be happy when I can get back to crafting other than wedding stuff, lol!

I am SO excited I found a little time to get in my craft room today, yeah!!! I am dying to get some time to craft and play in some challenges that are going on. I also have some fun new supplies that I can't wait to create with them soon :)
I have a quick card to share with you using some of my favorite stamps and dies from My Craft Spot! There are even some awesome challenges out that I've been wanting to play in :)
My Craft Spot's challenge this week is:  3D flowers.....doesn't it sound fun?
Come join in the fun to!

I started with a card base and base layer using the Spellbinders 5 x 7 Enchanted Labels 28 die. The papers are from DCWV La Creme paper stack. I used my favorite color combo's from this stack-aren't they pretty?

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Hello and Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion!
Hi Everyone!
The weekend is here once again...don't they come and go fast? I wanted to share a quick card with you before we leave out of  town for a few days. I also am feeling a bit sad that I just haven't had a lot of time to blog or craft much :( This summer has been so busy but it is about to slow down real soon here and I will get back to my craft room and some blogging:)

I am sure you have heard me mention about all the summer weddings we have been invited to not to mentions my son's wedding which is around the corner. Well, I am definitely needing to make a few so here is one to share with you today...more to come!
This is for my niece who is getting married this weekend:)
I used a few new dies and stamps on this one which have been sitting around in my craft room for sometime...it's time to get busy and use these goodies!
I started with My Creative Time's Surprise Pop Out Card die for the base. What a fun die...I know I
will use this a lot!
The little hearts are the Stitched Scalloped Heart die also from My Creative Time.  I stamped the adorable faces using PK-173 Great Vibes Robots.  I finished with a fun little flower that I picked up at Inspired by Stamping and the hat was just fussy cut out and adhered in place.
The sentiments are stamped with My Craft Spot's Happily Ever After stamp set-one of my favorites! I stamped and fussy cut the car from the PKSC-27 March14 stamp set using scrap papers and pieced it together.I finished with adding a touch of Wink of Stella to the headlights and cans and tied on a pretty double satin bow.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Sweet Stamps Blog Challenge #181 Bling
2.) Little Scrap Pieces Show if off Saturday
