Summer Fun

Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion
Hello Everyone and Happy Friday!
Wow, it's Friday again? Doesn't it seem like the summer is just zooming by? I still can't believe we are creeping up on August already! One thing is for sure... once fall approaches, things start to slow down some in my neck of the woods and that means a bit more craft time for me :)

I have a cute little project to share with you today! I was excited to find a little time to play in Craftin Desert Divas fun Linky Party~"Beach Theme" challenge that is going on.

I used a darling digital stamp from Craftin Desert Diva's called Floatie Girl for my card. I printed the image on card stock and colored her in with copics. I die cut the image using the Banner Dies and layered it on black mat the was layered onto the card base. I stamped the sentiment which is from the Gotta Wear Shades stamp set onto a Flag Banner Die. The adorable glasses are from the Taylored Expressions~Spectacles Die and the Corn Maze Sequins are from Craftin Desert Diva.
I made a fun little beach pail to go along with the card. I found this adorable beach pail at the Silhouette Store and cut on my Cameo. The sweet little image is stamped with the Gotta Wear Shades stamp set from Craftin Desert Diva and colored it with copics as well.
I stamped the sentiment using the same stamp set onto a Flag Banner Die. I stamped the cute little face on the shovel with Peachy Keens Bucket List Emojis Face Asst stamp set. I then tied the shovel to the bucket with twine. I  filled the bucket with sour patch worms and tied a bow with some ribbon from my stash.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party~Beach Theme
2.) Jo's Scrap Shack Fun-Day Friday Challenge~Anything Goes

After creating the base, I cut a panel for the background and water colored it with SU certainly celery. I stamped the inside sentiment with Craftin Desert Diva's~Chill Out stamp set. I then framed it with Craftin Desert Diva's~Crazy Stitched Frames. I turned this into a fun little shaker card and filled it with yummy Snow Palace sequins.

A thankful heart is a happy heart

Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion
Hello my crafty friends~
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
I have a pretty card to share that I created for some of the challenges going on right now. It was a bit to hot this weekend so I decided to escaped the heat and play in my craft room some :)

I had picked up this new Die Version Birdhouse Branch Die and thought I would use it for my main focal point on my card. It's funny, because what I had envisioned in my head came out totally different when I was finished?! Anyone else have that happen?  Overall, I am happy with the end result. I definitely need a little practice with the TH splatter brush, lol!
Hope you like it!
I used beautiful Country Roads papers from The Paper Studio that my friend Lisa  sent me. I love this assortment...so pretty! Thanks so much Lisa!
I distressed the papers with the DIA and also added a layer of cheesecloth between the layers for some texture.  I heat embossed the sentiment from My Creative Time's~A Thankful Heart onto a Ribbon End Banner Die.
I used Die Version Birdhouse Branch Die and cut a few layers and then one out of foam for dimension. The added Sparkling Ice Glitter to the house and the adorable birdie is heat embossed with Shabby Blue Embossing Enamel.
In the right corner is the Bunch of Stitched Doily Die. The butterflies are the Pretty Butterflies & Dragonfly Dies also sprinkled with Sparkling Ice Glitter. The gorgeous ribbon is the Blues Bundle from DL.ART, the twine from My Craft Spot (no longer in business) and the flowers are from Recollection.  The teeny little button in the center is Die Versions Buttons Galore die which is embossed with shabby white enamel embossing powder. I finished with splatters of white acrylic paint applied with the TH splatter brush.
I am entering this in the following challenges:

Hi Everyone and happy Saturday!

I took a break from the heat and found my way to the craft room for some play time...yay!
Today, I have a fun birthday set to share. I used a file from the Silhouette Store #79767 and cut it on my Cameo. I created these yummy Frozen treat favor boxes and cute matching cards to go with them.
I decorated the frozen treats with a tag that is cut at 1 1/2 from the Art Philosophy cartridge. Yup, I fired up the Cricut, hehe! The sentiment is from My Creative Time~Teeny Tag Holidays and I tied on a bow with Whipped Cream crinkle ribbon from DL.ART.
The cards are 3 x 6 and decorated with the same papers to coordinate. The Popsicle is cut with another file called Sweet Summer Set (Miss Kate Cuttables) or Silhouette Store #62471 and the sentiment is from My Creative Time~You Make Life Sweet stamp set.

Happy July 4th

Welcome to Sherrie Scraps
Hello Everyone!
Wow, can you believe it's July?! Wow, the time flies, ha?
We are just about to take off for the weekend so I have this as a scheduled post. We have some plans to visit family and then spend time at the lake.
Hope you have a fun and safe 4th!

I have a very quick treat to share that I whipped up for the 4th!
You know, with little ones running around here at Grandma's...they always love a treat?! Arya and her little friend helped me decorate these and had a blast!
I started with just an oreo double filled cookie and took them apart and with a little frosting on the stick, stuck it in the center and then put them back together. I let them set for about an hour and then  dipped them in Wilton's red candy melts. I then drizzled white over them and followed with candy sprinkles.
I put them in cello bags and then tied on a fun little tag. The tag is the SU scalloped oval punch and the sentiment is stamped with Craftin Desert Diva Celebrate Freedom stamp set. Perfect sentiments in this set for all your 4th  creations.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Craftin Desert Diva's Linky Party~Red, White & Blue
2.) DL.ART Thankful Thursday #153 Summertime
3.) Little Scrap Pieces Show it Off Saturday
