Welcome to Sherrie Scraps
Hi Everyone!
I hope you are having a great Friday~
I can't believe it's almost May! I seriously don't know where the month of April went?! I have been trying to stay somewhat caught up between my visits back and forth back home but I'll tell ya, it's been exhausting to say the least. My Dad is now at a Rehab facility and trying to settle in. He still struggles with confusion, memory loss and this stroke has also took his vision...which is so hard! It just breaks my heart! We continue to take one day at a time and praying each day it gets just a little bit better. Thank you again for the prayers, we certainly appreciate them and would love for them to keep coming~

Today, I have a couple baby cards and tags to share using dies from My Creative Time. I am in need of a couple in the next few weeks so here is what I came up with~
I started with the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More die set for the base layer. The papers are from Echo Park~Bundle of Joy Collection. I used the Scallop Stitched Oval Dies and layered two of them and then popped this cute little giraffe on it.
So cute, ha?
The giraffe is a print and cut from the Silhouette store and cut on my Cameo. The celebrate is also from the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More die set and adhered to a banner from the Vintage Stitched Label Die set.
The tags are created with the Tag Dies and Tag Die Layers die keeping the design the same to match the cards. I finished with tying on a pretty bow using satin ribbon from my stash. Took me no time at all using the print and cut feature.

I'm sorry to read about your Dad's eyesight... How awful for him... I hope the Rehab center will help him deal with the after affects of the stroke... My husband still suffers from Memory loss, and balance & a few other things due to the several strokes he endured 13 yrs. ago... It's tough on them... & you.... I pray things will get better for him daily... :) Your cards & tags are super sweet... love that adorable giraffe..... I might have to go get it! :) Big Hugs & try to have a wonderful day! :)

Your Cards and tags are just precious. I am so sorry to hear of your Dads eye sight. My brother had 7 strokes. He was blind in one eye.But he had surgery and could see out of it again.I am saying a prayer for him.

Hello Sherrie! So glad I've finally found a minute to drop in on you. These are just so adorable! Oh how I missed your fun and light hearted posts and projects! Those little giraffes are too cute for words and you have framed them perfectly with the stitched ovals. Love the dotted papers and the cheery colour palettes too!
ReplyDeleteHope you've been enjoying some warmer weather. It has been quite rainy here, but I suppose that is a good sign that summer is on the way! Last year we had barely any rain, so hopefully we will have a lush, green summer this year. hugs :)
