Hi Everyone~
Hi Everyone~
Happy Wednesday!!! I hope you are having a wonderful week! It's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land and the Challenge is: Embossing (heat or dry) PLUS a brand of die Scrapy Land carries....there are over 40 brands to choose from!!
We now have 2 winners for each challenge~One random and one chosen by the Design Team. Each winner will receive a $10.00 gift certificate to shop at Scrapy Land. Hope you come join us for a chance to win :)
Today, I have a couple Father's Day cards to share with you that I made for my son and son inlaw for Father's Day last Sunday. You could easily change the sentiment and use these cards for a birthday card to. I always have a hard time with guy cards but I like how this turned out. So, I'm pretty sure I will be making more in the future. The background is embossed with the Sizzix Birch Trees folder. I also distressed the edges with the DIA and inked with walnut stain.
The Tree's are Taylored Expressions Evergreens die and the Deer are Impression Obsession Deer Trio also inked around the edges. The clouds are Memory Box Stitched Cloud Trio die.
The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed with My Creative Time's Greatest Handyman stamp set. I finished with sequins from my stash.
Scrapy Land Dies used:
Impression Obsession Deer Trio

Oh wow, these are absolutely gorgeous, Sherrie!! You know what I love most about them?? I have these dies and I can borrow this idea from you :D I have the most difficult time with masculine cards and I just love, love these!! The embossed background is perfect!! I love how you inked the edges, too!! Seriously, totally borrowing this idea!!
ReplyDeleteI am slowly getting my new computer up to speed. It's amazing all the things you don't think about that need to be transferred like email contacts, calendars...and everything has a different password. Ugh. Just when I think I'm getting close, I run into a problem and have to Google how to fix it. I am happy that this computer is so much faster than my old one!! I hope your Dad is doing better each day. And I hope you are getting to spend time with Oliver and the girls!! Thinking of you, my dear sweet friend and sending lots of love and hugs :)

Super cute Father's Day cards! I love the masculine theme! The embossed background looks so amazing! It's always a challenge to create masculine cards and you have done an amazing job!
ReplyDeleteSherrie what a great set of masculine cards! I could see how these could easily be used for all sorts of themes or occasions by just switching out the sentiment. I love the embossed background.. you can see the trees just so slightly but enough to make it seem like the card takes place in the forest or woods. Love those other trees and the deer really gives it that masculine feel and look. You did a great job my friend! Love all the inking and distressing! Thank you for also linking up in our FFC this week!
