Celebrate Wedding Card

Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion
Hi Everyone!
I hope you are having a great week! Can you believe we are almost at the end of July already? Gosh, when did that happen? I swear the older I get the faster time flies, eek!

I have a quick wedding card to share today using a couple new dies I had picked up recently. I had a little time to play in my craft room (yeah) and it was perfect timing as my daughter was in need of a wedding card this weekend :)
The background is created with Worn Lipstick and Cracked Pistachio Oxide inks. After it dried, I ran texture paste through a Tim Holtz layering stencil. I layered the Memory Box Honeycomb Remnant  die and cheesecloth between the layers. The next layer is the Poppy Stamps Florisma Trail die followed with the gorgeous Round Flower Lace Metal die which I picked up online.
I added a stitched circle to the center from Jaded Blossoms. I popped this couple with foam adhesives for dimension. The bride and groom is a die I picked up at Dies R Us
The flowers and white Babies Breath flowers are from Wild Orchids. The leaves are from Frantic Stamper Assorted Foliage die set. The sentiment is Tutti Designs Celebrate Word die. The gorgeous ribbon is from DL ART.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge #208 Anything Goes
2.) DL.ART July Linky Challenge
3.) Word Art Wednesday Challenge #292-293 Anything Goes

Thanks

Welcome to Sherrie Scraps with Passion
Hi Everyone!
I hope your having a great day~
I was able to sneak in some crafty time...finally!! I miss everyone in blog land! Things have been very busy in our neck of the woods. We've been spending a lot of time with our grandchildren as we welcome two new grand babies to the family (this makes 5 now). Oliver Jay 2 months old and
Kimber Ann 2 weeks old. I have also been doing a lot of traveling to go back to visit my Dad who is still in the Stroke Recovery Center recovering from the stroke he had in April. My time has been very limited these past few months with crafting and blogging but I hope to get back to a regular schedule very soon.

I am sharing a couple of "quick" and "simple" cards I created today.  I used some of the distressed Oxides inks which I finally got a chance to try. I used the worn lipstick and cracked pistachio on
these cards.
After creating the water colored background, I used a Sizzix thinlits Mixed Media die to create a stencil and ran embossing paste to add texture. I distressed the edges with the DIA. The pretty doily in the center is the Frantic Stamper Lace Geometric Flower Doily Die and layered on Jaded Blossoms Stitched Circle Die.
Along the bottom I used the pretty Thanks Scallop Border Die die from Simon Says Stamps. I added a little ribbon from my stash and gathered it along the edge of the border.
The cluster of flowers are Recollections and Wild Orchids mixed pastel apple blossoms. Beneath the flowers are Cherry Lynn Designs Dandelions Die and Sue Wilson Designs Mosaic Leaves from Scrapy Land. The gorgeous butterfly is Die Versions Pretty Butterflies Die.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1.) Simon Says Monday Challenge Distress it
2.) DL.ART July Linky Anything Goes
3.) Jo's Scrap Shack Challenge #196 Anything Goes

I am sharing a fun card and treat set that I made for a friend in honor of the 4th of July. The awesome background die is the Die Versions Star Galaxy Background Die.  It's die cut out of white card stck and distressed with TH weathered wood and fired brick distressed ink.
I used the Tutti Designs Celebrate Word Dies and adhered that to the banner which is Sue Wilson Designs Pierced Flag Dies. I added a twine bow using Trendy Twines Berries Jubilee.  The sentiment is stamped with Jaded Blossoms Happy Hello (add on) stamp set.
The cute polka dot glassine bag is from SU. The tags are Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Tags Die. I distressed the background with Th distressed inks to match the card. I also distress some of the stars left over from the background die to use on this project. The shooting star is Die Versions Wishing Star Die which I love.
